As a Project Manager you will plan, organize, direct and control the work of construction sites to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality. \nResponsibilities: \nUnderstand, manage and execute technical and administrative contract documents including drawings, specifications and background documents on an IO (Infrastructure Ontario) Project under the direction of a Project Director andor Senior PM under the VP - Construction;\nAcquire, develop, manage and execute the necessary technical and administrative information from the various persons, trades, local authorities, owner(s) etc. to execute the proejct;\nManage a project team on-site with true leadership, ethics, integrity and collaboration while maintaining safety, environment, quality and schedule as key success pillars ;\nDevelop and Manage monthly billings and identiy, report and manage contract and subcontract changes\nPrepare, develop, manage and resolve contract and subcontract claims in accordance to the contract\nMentor and develop junior staff members, providing guidance on project management best practices and career growth;\nLead projects in uncharted territory, developing innovative solutions when traditional approaches may not be sufficient;\nObtain licenses and permits as needed for the execution of the work;\nDraft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms and award them to subcontractors;\nDevelop the prevention program requested for CNESST and monitor it on site;\nEstablish the schedule (dates, main stages of construction, constraints, methodology) and / or the critical path of the project and monitor it weekly;\nInform the superintendent of the project and discuss with him and the director of the proposed methods;\nPlace orders for critical materials, negotiate prices and prepare contract documents, in collaboration with the senior project manager and or project director, for subcontractors;\nCoordinate and participate in various meetings;\nEstablish and maintain a professional and continuous positive rapport with the client, etc.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in a relevant field like constructionproject management or engineering or equivalent,\nRelevant 5 to 7 years’ experience in construction project management;\nStrong leadership and communication skills;\nMaster of MS Office, especially MS-Word, Excel and Powerpoint;\nShows initiative and leadership;\nStrong management, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills;\nSkills and Attitudes Required\nShows initiative and leadership;\nstrong management, negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills;\nTeam Player.\nThis role requires eligibility for Secret Level Security Clearance. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
