Our range of specialized services has made our reputation in Canada.\nAs a Project Manager you will plan, organize, direct and control the work of construction sites to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.\nWe are looking for a Project Manager to join our Western Canada team.\nResponsibilities:\nRead the technical and administrative specifications of the project to be executed;\nAcquire the necessary technical and administrative information from the persons involved during the submission;\nObtain blueprints and specifications for construction and compare them to bid plans;\nReport changes to professionals and claim costs;\nMentor and develop junior staff members, providing guidance on project management best practices and career growth;\nLead projects in uncharted territory, developing innovative solutions when traditional approaches may not be sufficient;\nObtain licenses and permits as needed for the execution of the work;\nDraft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms and award them to subcontractors;\nEstablish the schedule (dates, main stages of construction, constraints, methodology) and / or the critical path of the project and monitor it weekly;\nInform the superintendent of the project and discuss with him and the director of the proposed methods;\nPlace orders for critical materials, negotiate prices and prepare contract documents, in collaboration with the construction manager, for subcontractors;\nCoordinate and participate in various meetings;\nEstablish and maintain a professional and continuous positive rapport with the client, etc. \nRequirements\nDegree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology;\nTechnical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng./ CET) or combination of technical training and/or related experience;\nRelated job experience of 5- 10 years with increasing levels of responsibility;\nPrevious work experience in Civil Engineering Construction, including dams, powerhouse and generation stations, bridges, infrastructure, and/or heavy civil construction is required;\nPrevious work experience on an OPG project or powerhouse experience would be considered an asset;\nAdvanced skills in communication and problem solving;\nInitiative and leadership;\nExcellent knowledge of MS Office, MS Project and Bluebeam;\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task;\nSkilled in management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving;\nAttention to detail and problem-solving skills;\nExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work;\nBilingualism - French/English - is considered an asset.\nBenefits\n4 weeks of annual vacation; \nFlexible group insurance program upon entry (health and dental components paid by the employer);\nGroup RRSP with employer contribution to a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP);\n24 hour access to a virtual doctor (telemedicine);\nTraining and development programs;\nEmployee assistance program;\nActive social club and health and wellness committee;\nDiverse, innovative and stimulating environment;\nA company built on values of respect, integrity and a job well done;\nFirm recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.\nIn accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $110,000 - $160,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
