Inspector II Job Description\nSupervisory Responsibility: None\nFLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT\n\nMAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsibilities specific to the role\nExecute inspection plans for receiving, first piece, in-process, and final inspection to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.\nUse manual and automated metrology equipment to measure products, tools, and fixtures\nSet up, calibrate, and run CMM equipment for receiving, first piece, in-process, and final inspection.\nTrouble shoot CMM run and program problems and make recommendations for improvements to Engineering and Management\nTrouble shoot measurement techniques and make recommendations for improvements to Engineering and Management\nVerify automated findings of nonconformance manually.\nGenerate nonconformance reports based on inputs from shop floor personnel, Engineering, and Management using ERP system\nMaintain all gaging to condition and calibration frequencies.\nParticipate in MSAs and correlations to assure measurement processes are robust.\nMake molds of radius while machine is running.\nAttention to detail to Customer Requirements is a MUST \nEnsure parts are handled and protected in a suitable manner to prevent damage during operations and movement. \nDevelop and execute training programs in proper gage use techniques.\nOrganize work for self to assure efficient flow through equipment.\nTo perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.\nGeneral responsibilities; \nComply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.\nRead and understand the requirements on the work instructions for the operation to be carried out.\nEnsure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the work instructions is available at the point of use and at the correct revision.\nRead and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes CMM Programs and Set Up Instructions therein, Tooling Control Sheets (TCS) as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Operation Inspection Plans (OIP) etc.\nEnsure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.\nComplete all work booking requirements within the ERP system to ensure accurate WIP records.\nFollow work handling and storage instructions to prevent damage to components.\nSupport Root Cause Analysis activities when non-conformance occurs to prevent reoccurrence.\nCarry out and record all TPM activities in accordance with the specified schedule for the equipment being operated.\nEnsure that work areas are tidy, cleaned and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements.\nEngage and contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to maximize efficiency.\nComply with all company procedures and policies.\nFrom time to time, you may be required to perform other duties as requested by your Line Manager, and whilst not listed above, these duties will be appropriate to the level of responsibility held and to the scope of the role as
