This is a high-visibility role offering broad exposure across the business, significant interaction with senior leaders, and the opportunity to directly influence how risk supports strategic decision-making.\nIf you are passionate about elevating risk management, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to contribute to a forward-thinking Lloyd’s market organisation, we would love to hear from you.\nKey Responsibilities\n As Risk Manager, you will work closely with the Director of Risk & Governance to continually enhance PMA’s risk management framework, ensuring it reflects market best practice and adds real value to the business. You will partner with teams across the agency to support effective risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.\n\nEnhance PMA’s Risk Management Framework, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory expectations and industry best practice.\nDevelop and refine syndicate risk appetite frameworks, including risk tolerance metrics, thresholds, and reporting.\nMaintain and improve risk and control registers, ensuring risks, controls, and mitigation strategies remain accurate and effective.\nFacilitate risk and control assessments, ensuring key controls are identified, documented, and assessed for design and operational effectiveness.\nConduct bespoke risk analysis, including independent assessments and scenario analysis in line with the annual risk plan.\nProvide second-line oversight for PMA’s project portfolio, ensuring project risks are identified, challenged, and appropriately mitigated.\nSupport onboarding of new syndicates, including risk assessments and Lloyd’s Making It Happen requirements.\nManage the risk incident process, including impact assessment, recommended actions, and root cause analysis.\nContribute to stress and scenario testing, including operational risk inputs for syndicate Internal Models.\nMaintain and enhance the emerging risks framework and register.\n Support quarterly and annual ORSA processes, including production of regulatory risk reports (ORSA/OSCA).\nAssist with validation of internal models for managed syndicates.\nDeliver risk services to outsourced serviced syndicates.\n Review and update risk management policies in line with governance requirements.\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nWe are looking for someone who brings:\nDegree-level education and/or a relevant professional qualification (IRM, CII).\nExperience in London Market risk management; Lloyd’s experience is highly advantageous.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels, including senior leadership.\nExcellent analytical, numerical, and written communication skills, with the ability to translate risk concepts into meaningful insights.\nAbility to work both collaboratively and independently, managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.\nStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office;
