This role acts as a key liaison between Security Operations, Facilities, HR, PSPC, CSP, clients and subcontractors to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.\nRequirements\n5+ years in a Security role, preferably in construction, defense, or federal contracting\nStrong knowledge of Canadian federal security protocols, including CSP, CGP, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Information Security Policy (ISP), and Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSE) cybersecurity programs\nProven leadership in managing security for infrastructure or civil construction projects\nSkilled in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders including Legal, HR, IT, and Operations\nExcellent written and verbal communication; strong documentation and audit readiness. \nKnowledge of electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms). \nProficiency in incident management and crisis management protocols.\nAbility to read and apply complex corporate policies.\nExcellent judgment in emergency situations.\nClear communication and diplomacy when interacting with multiple stakeholders.\n3 to 5 years of experience in physical security, site management, or a similar role.\nExperience working with a security provider or in a corporate/industrial environment.\nBilingual in French and English an asset (spoken and written).\nMust be able to work onsite in Ottawa.\nValid Government of Canada security clearance or eligibility to obtain one, in accordance with project security requirements.\nCertifications (Preferred)\nCISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)\nCISM (Certified Information Security Manager)\nCOMSEC - COM102C - COMSEC Account Management/COM103C - COMSEC Account Management for private sector companies\nEmergency Preparedness or Security Training\nDesired Profile\n Strong leadership and coordination abilities. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to incidents.\nProficiency with security technologies and Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.\nIdeal Candidate Profile: A proactive security professional who combines operational expertise, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
