Discover the full scale of Gildan and prepare to be surprised at gildancorp.com.\nThe opportunity\nLocated at the Head Office in Montreal, the General accounting department manages all the day-to-day accounting operations (payables and general ledger) and reporting of the head office.\nReporting to the Sr. Manager, Accounting, the incumbent will support the team with various accounting tasks.\nThis is a temporary position based at the Head Office in Montreal. The schedule is Monday to Friday with flexible working hours, ranging from a minimum of 7 hours to a maximum of 35 hours per week.\nThe role\nVerify integration invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, and maintain integration files up to date.\nSupport the new vendor setup and vendor creation process.\nReview and update supplier master data records.\nAssist with Accounts Payable data entry and related administrative tasks.\nPrepare fixed asset reports and maintain supporting documentation.\nEnter journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.\nSupport with the preparation of reports and analyses, and support special projects as required.\nThe requirements\nCompleted College diploma (DEC) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\nBilingual in English and French, both written and spoken.\nStrong initiative with demonstrated problem-solving skills.\nExcellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
