Touch Media is looking for an experienced Treasury Accountant to join our Finance Team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily cash operations, petty cash, employee advances, cash collections, payments, treasury controls, and related reconciliations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities1. Daily Cash & Treasury Management
Manage daily cash receipts and disbursements for petty cash across different departments, including Creative, Production, and Media.
Prepare daily cash movement reports covering opening balance, receipts, payments, and closing balance.
Perform daily reconciliation between physical cash on hand and book balance (Cash Count vs. Book Balance).
2. Employee & Field Team Advances
Disburse cash advances to field execution teams for campaigns, including outdoor shoots, events, transportation/shipping, and urgent purchases.
Monitor outstanding advances and ensure timely settlement.
Review supporting documents submitted for advance settlements, including invoices and receipts.
3. Customer Cash Collections
Receive cash payments and customer checks and issue official receipts.
Deposit cash and checks into the company bank account promptly and minimize large cash balances held in the treasury.
Coordinate with the Accounts Receivable team to reconcile collections with customer statements.
4. Payments & Disbursements
Process cash payments to freelancers and small suppliers, where permitted, after proper approval and documentation.
Disburse employee petty cash allowances and reimbursements, including transportation and small travel expenses.
Ensure that every payment voucher is properly signed and acknowledged by the recipient.
5. Treasury Controls & Documentation
Maintain the cash balance within the approved Cash Limit according to company policy.
Ensure proper numbering and sequential control of cash receipt and payment vouchers without gaps.
Ensure that no payment is made without prior approval from the authorized person according to the company’s approval matrix.
6. Bank Reconciliation & Treasury Follow-Up
Monitor daily bank deposits and reconcile them with the cash book and treasury records.
Identify and resolve cash or exchange differences when dealing with multiple currencies for international campaigns.
7. Cash Count & Reporting
Support periodic and surprise cash counts conducted by an independent party, such as Internal Audit.
Prepare monthly treasury/cash movement reports for Finance Management.
Maintain accurate and complete treasury documentation and records.
Requirements
Job QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Accounting, or a similar role.
ERP: Strong experience with ERP/accounting systems.
Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
English: Very good to excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
Strong understanding of cash handling and internal control procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.
Experience in a media, advertising, production, or project-based environment is a plus.
