Māku koe e ki atu he tangata, he tangata, he tangata.\n“If you asked me, what is the greatest thing in this world, I would say it is people, it is people, it is people.”\nKo tō tūranga - your role\nAs the Core Network DevOps Engineer your role is to design, implement and support the 24x7 operation of One NZ’s Core Mobile and Fixed Data Network DevOps domains. You’ll be an active part of the DevOps function, delivering improvements in network capability and performance while supporting continuous improvement in customer experience.\nKo tō mahi - what you’ll do\nDeliver accurate, cost-effective network designs across medium to high complexity environments, considering end-to-end impacts.\nIdentify key capacity and performance metrics and develop effective platform and domain management processes and reporting.\nContribute to platform and domain roadmaps and network plans, and own implementation and acceptance plans.\nPeer review low-level and high-level network designs.\nEnsure implementation activities align with appropriate network change processes and quality standards.\nDeliver network changes on time and within budget while maintaining network integrity.\nEnsure all changes complete the required acceptance testing before live implementation.\nResolve incidents within operational SLA targets and participate in 24x7 on-call rosters.\nDevelop and implement processes, procedures, automation and AI workflows to improve operational performance.\nMaintain network integrity through an effective maintenance programme.\nNa tōu rourou - what you’ll bring\nExtensive knowledge of Core Data DevOps platforms and technologies, including Mobile Data Core, Fixed Data Core and Mobile Signalling.\nUnderstanding of adjacent domains including mobile registers, IMS, fixed voice, messaging, virtual and container infrastructure, IP transport, security and enterprise technologies.\nGood knowledge of 3GPP and ETSI specifications.\nExperience with automation frameworks and scripting languages.\nExperience with virtualised and containerised environments such as VMware, Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat OpenStack, Docker or Kubernetes.\nExperience using CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, such as Azure DevOps.\nUnderstanding of ITIL methodologies and Agile ways of working.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build stakeholder relationships and make decisions under pressure.\nAbility to work effectively in a high-performing team and share platform and Core Domain knowledge.\nNā mātou te rourou - what you’ll get\nOne New Zealand is leading the way by ensuring you can have a truly balanced life.
