As an active part of the DevOps function, you’ll drive improvements in network capability, performance and reliability, helping us continuously improve the experience we deliver for our customers.\nKo tō mahi - what you’ll do\nDeliver accurate, cost-effective network designs aligned with architectural, design and operational requirements.\nProvide technical oversight and design guidance to engineers, ensuring quality and consistency.\nDefine capacity and performance metrics and develop effective platform and domain reporting.\nContribute to platform and domain roadmaps and network plans, owning implementation and acceptance plans.\nPeer review low-level and high-level designs to maintain engineering quality and standards.\nEnsure implementations follow appropriate network change processes and maintain network integrity.\nDeliver changes on time and within budget, with robust acceptance testing before live implementation.\nParticipate in the 24x7 on-call roster as required.\nResolve incidents within operational SLA targets and support ongoing reduction in incident volumes.\nDevelop processes, procedures, automation and AI workflows that improve operational performance.\nMaintain network integrity through an effective maintenance programme.\nNa tōu rourou - what you’ll bring\nExtensive knowledge of Core Data technologies across Mobile Data Core, Fixed Data Core or Mobile Signalling.\nStrong understanding of adjacent network domains including IMS, voice, messaging, IP transport and security.\nExcellent knowledge of 3GPP and ETSI specifications.\nExperience with automation frameworks and scripting languages.\nExperience with virtualised and containerised environments such as VMware, OpenShift, OpenStack, Docker or Kubernetes.\nExperience using CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps to automate deployments.\nStrong stakeholder engagement, communication and decision-making skills in high-performing technical teams.\nAbility to share platform and Core Domain knowledge effectively across teams and support successful Agile practices.\nGood understanding of relevant industry regulatory requirements and ITIL methodologies.\nNā mātou te rourou - what you’ll get\nOne New Zealand is leading the way by ensuring you can have a truly balanced life.
