Develop and mentor the assigned team of Purchasing & Design Specialists to ensure their career path and growth.\nJob Description Details:\nPlan and monitor staffing and workload, ensuring appropriate resources are accountable for expected deliverables\nParticipate in the hiring process including hiring decisions\nMentor and train direct reports on department process compliance and position expectations\nProvide performance feedback throughout year by conducting regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports\nOversee all project work on assigned workload \nEnsure team members are actively participating in Client Playbooks to drive team organization and optimal performance\nDrive operational excellence and growth in collaboration with Client Services \nAttend proposal kick-off and turnover meetings \nConduct regular file reviews with Purchasing & Design Specialist until file is turned over to Event Management\nMonitor proposal timeline management to ensure deliverable dates are met\nProof proposal budgets against program agenda\nAssist with pricing standards to maximize overall profitability\nReview/approve budgets and proformas\nProof and review client and supplier contracts with Purchasing & Design Specialist\nEnsure compliance with negotiated savings documentation\nParticipate in client presentations \nDevelop and maintain industry relationships including hotels, NSOs, DMCs, and CVB\nPerform other duties as assigned\nAdditional Job Description Details\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience\nMinimum ten years of extensive meeting/incentive & event management experience\nClient and supplier contract expertise\n2-3 years’ experience in successfully delegating and leading individuals/team\nHigh level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel\nProven ability in project management and financial aptitude\nDemonstrated ability to operate effectively in a deadline driven environment\nStrong editing and writing skills\nStrong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects\nAbility to work independently as well as a member of a team\nSuperior customer
