This position works closely with Underwriters and other departments to analyze account information, prepare underwriting materials, coordinate account activity, and maintain accurate and complete underwriting documentation.\nHow You Will Contribute:\nSupports Underwriters throughout the new business and renewal processes, including organizing documents, identifying missing information, preparing files for review, and tracking outstanding requirements.\nApplies working knowledge of Commercial Auto, Commercial General Liability, and Excess Liability coverage when reviewing submissions, preparing account materials, and responding to internal questions.\nReviews loss runs to identify loss frequency, severity, trends, open claims, and other matters requiring further underwriting review.\nPrepares underwriting summaries, account worksheets, exposure analyses, and other materials to support underwriting evaluation and decision-making.\nProcesses underwriting documents and takes appropriate action within established authority, guidelines, and procedures.\nServes as a liaison between Underwriters and other Oxford departments, providing timely and accurate underwriting information needed to bind, issue, endorse, renew, or cancel accounts and address certificates, inspections, and other account-related matters.\nDrafts account-related correspondence and communicates with internal business partners, brokers, or other parties in the Underwriter’s direction.\nMonitors account activity and follow up on outstanding underwriting information, subjectivities, inspections, recommendations, and other requirements.\nMaintains complete, accurate, and well-organized underwriting files in accordance with departmental standards and documentation requirements.\nSkills & Experience to be Successful:\nBachelor’s degree or one to three years of relevant Property and Casualty insurance experience; an equivalent combination of education, training, and industry experience may be considered.\nFamiliarity with Commercial Auto, Commercial General Liability, and Excess Liability coverage is preferred.\nAbility to review and interpret commercial insurance policies, applications, endorsements, exposure information, and loss of runs.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify incomplete or inconsistent information and determine when additional underwriting review is required.\nDemonstrated ability to prioritize assignments, manage multiple deadlines, and produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining complete and accurate underwriting documentation.\nCustomer-service mindset with the ability to communicate promptly, professionally, and effectively with Underwriters, internal departments, brokers, clients, and other business partners.\nStrong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals across different functions and levels of the organization.\nAbility to balance internal service standards with broker and client expectations while appropriately escalating issues requiring underwriting judgment or authority.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively, exercise sound judgment within established guidelines, and seek direction when appropriate.\nDemonstrated initiative, reliability, accountability, and commitment to meeting established deadlines and work-quality standards.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn underwriting and policy management systems.\nAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.\nWillingness to learn, accept feedback, and develop increasing technical knowledge and responsibility over time.\nPay Range\n$36.06 - $36.06 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.\nTeammate Benefits & Total Well-Being\nWe go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:\nHealth Benefits: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance \nFinancial Benefits: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement \nMental Health & Wellness: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services\nBeyond Benefits: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more. \nNot reflective of all benefits.
