Come be a part of this journey with us as we champion lives!\nJob Summary\nThe Accounting Manager is responsible for the reconciliation of Information Reporting and Forms 1099, 5498, 1042 and W-2 for our Individual Life & Financial Services (ILFS) and Institutional Markets business lines. This role is also responsible for suspense management, reporting and balance sheet reconciliation for the same areas. Training and support of the suspense process ensures that data is processed correctly. Ensuring funds are available and properly recorded on non-standard distributions is also a key focus of the Accounting Manager.\nWhat you will do:\nPerform financial balancing on monthly and quarterly divisional reporting\nReconciliation of Information Reporting for assigned divisions and admin systems within the enterprise - monthly, quarterly and annually\nMaintain ERISA accounts for Retirement Services\nManage and reconcile Individual and Institutional Market suspense accounts.\nIdentify the root cause of unreconciled divisional accounting items and propose a solution for correction.\nResearch and resolution of accounting issues including processing the corrections\nWhat you will need:\nCollege Degree (BA or BS)Recommended College Major: Finance, Accounting or Business\n\n10+ years of experience working within a finance division of a large company or institution.\nFluent written and oral communication\nAttentive to detail in all aspects of work\nStrong organization and time management skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Office\nSalary Band: 06B\nThis selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.
