Come be a part of this journey with us as we champion lives!\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking a Data Engineer to build, enhance, and support a modern cloud data platform focused on delivering trusted data quickly, reliably, and efficiently. This is a hands-on, collaborative role for an engineer who is developing strong expertise in Snowflake, modern ELT and data engineering patterns, and scalable pipeline development.\nThe ideal candidate has solid engineering fundamentals, a delivery-oriented mindset, and the ability to work with guidance across multiple source systems. This person will develop maintainable pipelines, investigate data issues, and partner with senior engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to create dependable data products.\nExperience with Medallion Architecture, dbt, and cloud data platforms is preferred.\nPrimary Responsibilities include, but not limited to:\nBuild and maintain scalable, reliable, and cost-conscious data pipelines in Snowflake\nDevelop and support ELT workflows using modern tooling such as dbt\nImplement established Bronze, Silver, and Gold patterns within a Medallion Architecture\nIntegrate and transform data from operational systems and third-party platforms\nWrite reusable, maintainable SQL and Python for data transformation and automation\nMonitor pipelines, investigate failures, and resolve data quality issues\nApply established standards for testing, documentation, lineage, observability, and deployment\nSupport Snowflake performance and cost optimization through sound engineering practices\nPartner with analytics, product, and business teams to clarify requirements and deliver trusted datasets\nContribute to data modeling, governance, and engineering standards\nParticipate in code reviews, release activities, and continuous improvement efforts\nRequired Work Experience/Education:\nBachelors Degree \n3+ years of data engineering, software engineering, or data development experience\nHands-on experience working with Snowflake or a comparable modern cloud data platform\nStrong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, transformations, and query troubleshooting\nWorking proficiency in Python for data engineering, scripting, or automation\nExperience building or supporting production ELT or ETL pipelines\nExperience with dbt or a similar transformation framework\nUnderstanding of dimensional modeling and modern data architecture concepts\nExperience integrating data from multiple source systems\nFamiliarity with Git, code review, and CI/CD practices\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills\nRecommended Work Experience/Education:\nExperience implementing Medallion Architecture patterns\nExperience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry\nFamiliarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Snowflake Tasks\nExposure to streaming or near-real-time data pipelines\nFamiliarity with data observability, monitoring, and lineage tools\nExperience supporting enterprise BI and analytics platforms\nExposure to Data Vault and/or dimensional modeling methodologies\nSalary Band: 05B\nThis selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN.
