This role supports day-to-day operations by maintaining facility standards and addressing maintenance issues in a timely manner.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAlways be compliant with all company and regulatory policies and procedures.\nPerform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, safety systems, etc.).\nEnsure grounds are free of trash and debris.\nRespond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests promptly.\nConduct regular inspections of facilities to identify safety hazards, maintenance needs, and compliance issues.\nAssist with basic carpentry, painting, flooring, and general building repairs.\nMaintain grounds, including snow removal, lawn care, and minor landscaping as needed.\nEnsure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.\nCollaborate with external vendors or contractors when specialized repairs are required.\nDocument maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in logs or work order systems.\n\nEducation and Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.\n2+ years of experience in facilities, building maintenance, or a related field.\nBasic computer skills for work order systems and email communication.\nMust pass criminal background check.\nMust possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.\nProficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.\nApproved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.\nAbility to use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems.\n\nSkills and Abilities:\nAttention to detail and strong work ethic.\nAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks.\nGood communication and teamwork skills.\nCommitment to safety and compliance.\nCapable of working well with all levels of the organization.\nA professional demeanor.\nDemonstrated ability to multi-task.\nAbility to work with little daily supervision.\n\nWork Environment:\nThis position requires work indoors and outdoors, with occasional exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and varying weather conditions.\n\nTravel:\nDaily travel between Beacon locations.\n\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
