This person is responsible for monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produces financial reports or statements. This position establishes and enforces proper accounting methods, policies and principles.\nThis is an onsite position based at our corporate location in Rockwall, TX.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):\nManage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department to include the following:\n month and end-year process\naccounts payable/receivable\ncash receipts\ngeneral ledger\ncash forecasting\nrevenue and expenditure variance analysis\ncheck runs\nfixed asset activity\ndebt activity\nMonitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements\nEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles\nCoordinate and complete annual audits\nImprove systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions\nAssign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy\nMeet financial accounting objectives\nEstablish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions\nQualifications, Skills and Requirements:\nStrong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to maintain confidentiality\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment\nSelf-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects\nEducation, Training and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area;\nCPA a plus\nExcel level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel\nExperience with Microsoft CRM preferred\n7+ years of experience in a similar financial position;\n3+ years experience in a people management role\nExperience with insurance brokerage operations, preferred but not required.\nYour base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
