Executive Coordinator, Office of the Senior Vice President for Strategic Engagement - Georgetown University.
The Office of the Senior Vice President for Strategic Engagement (SVP) is seeking a proactive, highly organized, and collaborative Executive Coordinator to assist with a wide range of administrative tasks and projects covering a variety of functional areas. The Office of the Senior Vice President’s portfolio includes oversight of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Office of Public Affairs, Office of Government Affairs and Community Engagement, Office of Global Engagement, Initiative on Catholic Social Thought and Public Life, and the Center for the Study of Slavery and Its Legacies. This role serves as a key administrative and operational position for the SVP, ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day operations including scheduling and calendar management, meeting facilitation, priorities management, and high-level internal and external stakeholder engagement. In addition, the Executive Coordinator will engage in research, writing, and independent project management as needed.
As a dynamic and cross-functional team member, the Executive Coordinator works to anticipate needs, process sensitive information with strict confidentiality, and ensure smooth workflow in the office of the SVP. Additionally, this role supports regular annual meetings and events and well as special projects as assigned.
The successful candidate is independent, self-motivated, agile, and possesses superior judgement and discretion. The Executive Coordinator must have a dedication to creative thinking and independent problem solving, and must be willing to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends. This position puts a premium on initiative, versatility, good judgment, problem-solving, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and a positive, can-do attitude.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing the SVP’s day-to-day schedule, to include scheduling appointment and meetings, resolving conflicting priorities, and ensuring meeting timeliness.
- Manage routine business processes, including invoice and expense processing, booking travel, and arranging catering.
- Preparing briefings and presentations for the SVP on issue areas and in advance of key meetings.
- Conducting research and gathering data for the SVP and SVP’s team as directed.
- Independent project management as directed.
Requirements and Qualifications
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and three to five years of progressively complex administrative and customer service experience supporting senior leaders. Candidate must have exceptionally strong organizational skills and analytical abilities, and must also demonstrate proven interpersonal skills and experience providing complex administrative support in a high profile environment with courtesy, professionalism, diplomacy, efficiency and confidentiality. Must be able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks, understand stakeholder needs, and work under pressure. This position requires proficiency in the use of standard office equipment such as printers, copiers, faxes, and scanners as well as excellent skills with standard office productivity software including Gmail, Google Calendaring and other applications, Microsoft Office Suite (MSWord, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), including the use of advanced formatting of Word, the ability to set up and use Excel spreadsheets.

Pay Range:
The projected salaryor hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
