Employee focused.\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Automation Technician executes routine automation and control system tasks with minor variation, adjusting methods to resolve common operational issues. This role supports daily plant operations by maintaining and troubleshooting automation systems under direct supervision.Job Profile Summary\nThe Automation Technician maintains, configures, and troubleshoots Distributive Control and Safety Instrumented systems in support of safe, reliable operation of gas processing plants. The qualified candidate must possess and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and environmental policies. Communication with operations, I&E, maintenance, measurement, and engineering groups is crucial to successfully executing the duties of this position. Diagnose and maintain control system hardware and software - Support Microsoft Windows 2016 and Microsoft Server 2016 Operating Systems or newer and related hardware. All within a Microsoft Domain environment - Maintain documentation of control system as well as OT and optical fiber networks - Troubleshoot any control issues and implement corrective actions - Assist with the design and installation of new plant automation equipment - Assist with planning, installation, and maintenance of all processing equipment within the facilities - Consult with vendors in the development of newupgraded equipment for plant automation systems - Maintain robust OT security and redundancy for Plant Control Networks - Provide accurate and timely information for all types of process equipment to maximize the profitability of plant operations - Assist in cost control of Plant Control System and OT Network maintenance - Maintain, modify, and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and/or Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs. - Support ongoing maintenance, repairs and calibration of online chromatography and sample systems associated with natural gas processing and fractionation.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nMaintain, modify, and troubleshoot Distributive Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and HMIs to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.\n\nSupport Microsoft Windows 2016 and Microsoft Server 2016 Operating Systems or newer and related hardware (some within a Microsoft Domain environment).\n\nMaintain documentation of control systems as well as OT networks and optical fiber networks.\n\nTroubleshoot any control issues and implement corrective actions.\n\nAssist with the design and installation of new automation equipment.\n\nAssist with planning, installation, and maintenance of all controls equipment within the facilities.\n\nConsult with vendors in the development of newupgraded equipment for automation systems.\n\nMaintain robust OT security and redundancy for Control Networks.\n\nProvide accurate and timely information for all types of process equipment to maximize the profitability of operations.\n\nAssist in cost control of Control System and OT Network maintenance.\n\nEducation\nHigh School diploma or GED required\n\nWork Experience\nMinimum 5 years related DCS/SIS or PLC experience.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\nExperience with one or more of the following is required… Foxboro DCS, Rockwell PLCs and HMIs, PlantPAX, Aveva or WonderWare HMIs, Honeywell C-300 Controllers, Honeywell Safety Manager and/or Emerson DeltaV systems.\n\nAbility to read and understand P&ID’s, electrical one-line diagrams and other complex drawings.
