Employee focused.\nJOB SUMMARY\nJob Profile SummaryPerform advanced level work related to gas and/or liquids pipeline system operations acting as a subject matter expert.\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\nPerform and/or coordinate, diagnoses and troubleshoots complex pipeline operations and maintenance activities on systems including compressor stations, gas storages, dehydration facilities, pumping facilities, measurement facilities, and related equipment which may include, but is not limited to:Startup and shutdown\n\nPigging\nCollecting liquids\nChanging charts\nGauging tanks\nLocating and marking lines\nMonitoring cathodic protection/basic pipe coatings\nLeakage survey/patrolling pipelines\nBlowing drips\nPerform, dispatch, and/or train on line locates\nConstruction watch and/or oversee construction activities\nMonitor usage and/or replace lubricants, fluids, inhibitors, chemicals, etc., as needed to ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment\nExchange information regarding pipeline operations, maintenance, measurement, and other activities with public/governmental officials, employees, contractors, customers, producers, and landowners\nEstablishes calculations, compile and/or prepare information and report, assisting others on matters including but not limited to:Gas/liquid flow and qualityMaintenance and/or repair logs\nSamples (gas/liquids)\nPipeline/corrosion activities\nConstruction inspection\nAppropriate regulatory requirements\n\nDrive and ensure maintenance is completed on assigned company vehicles\nMay coordinate/have oversight of employees engaged in pipeline operations, maintenance, and other activities\nAnticipate changes in work demands and identify assignments or training to meet those demands\nRecommend new processes and formulate new ideas; take lead role to execute implementation of new processes\nDetermine materials required for operations and prepare appropriate purchase requisitions\nEnsure compliance with company policies related to OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements, preparing appropriate documentation\nReact immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others\nResponsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
