This is a safety sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws.\nWatch this video to learn more.\nWhat the Microbiologist I - Does Each Day:\nPerforms, compiles, and interprets results of microbiology tests including sterility, endotoxin, growth promotion, and microorganism identification.\nPerforms sterility testing utilizing a rapid technology\nSuccessfully achieves and maintains gown qualification\nPerforms EM testing and daily, weekly, and monthly cleanings in support of daily operations in the Sterility Microbiology Cleanroom Suite\nExecutes endotoxin testing utilizing an end point fluorescence assay\nGrowth promotes incoming media and media fill samples\nDocuments the morphology of microorganisms and streaks isolates for identification\nPerforms grams staining, as needed\nOur Most Successful Microbiologist I:\nExperience performing aseptic manipulations within a biological safety cabinet or laminar flow hood\nProficient with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and electronic documentation systems\nPlans, schedules, prioritizes, and manages time to meet project goals of regulatory compliance and facility requirements\nMakes decisions, set priorities, and schedule work for self\nInteracts with management and co-workers in a calm, courteous and professional manner\nObserves and constructively trains and corrects laboratory and production staff, as well as collaborate with management to resolve issues in a timely manner\nSeeks to identify continuous improvement opportunities\nMinimum Requirements for this Role:\nBachelor’s Degree required - Biology discipline preferred\n0-2 years of experience in QC Microbiology\nAble and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout each shift, with or without reasonable accommodation\nMust be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Quva is not able to sponsor applicants for work visas\nBenefits of Working at QuVa:\nComprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, dental and vision\n401k retirement program with company match\n 5 PLP and 12 PTO days off plus 8 paid holidays per year\nNational, industry-leading high growth company with future career advancement opportunities\nThe base compensation for this role is estimated to be within the range described below.
