You'll work alongside engineers and scientists to tackle complex problems, push the state of the art, and help shape how we do ML at OneSix. While this isn't a people management role, you'll serve as a technical anchor on your team - mentoring others and influencing project direction.\nWhat You'll Do\nResearch, design, and build ML models across a range of use cases - we work with clients across industries and problem types\nWork across the full deployment spectrum: managed cloud ML platforms (SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML) and containerized solutions built from scratch in Python on raw infrastructure\nCollaborate with engineers to integrate models into production environments and uphold MLOps best practices\nPreprocess and analyze large datasets; think critically about data quality and what it means for model reliability\nContribute to technical discussions across the team, fostering a culture of shared learning and continuous improvement\nTranslate complex ML concepts clearly for both technical collaborators and non-technical client stakeholders\nWhat You Bring\n4+ years of hands-on ML experience with a track record of shipping models to production\nYou have a strong suit in at least one area - predictive/classical ML, computer vision, or LLM/agentic systems - and you’re genuinely curious about adjacent domains\nStrong Python and SQL skills, production-code instincts, and Git fluency; R or C++ a plus\nComfortable across the full deployment stack: managed cloud services and containerized solutions built from scratch (Docker, EC2-style environments)\nDeep understanding of ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and optimization\nM.S. in a quantitative field, or equivalent depth demonstrated through shipped work\nClear communicator who can explain their methodology and defend their choices\nMust be based in the US or Canada\nCompensation / Benefits\nCompetitive compensation\nCompany-paid medical, vision, dental, and wellness benefits for employees \n401k Employer match\nCompany-provided home office equipment\nFlexible vacation and sick days\nTeam-oriented and supportive working environment \nCompany-sponsored events and swag\nThis position offers a base salary in the range of $140,000-$180,000 USD annually, depending on experience and location.
