The objective for the Transport Manager is to manage, direct, and monitor the worldwide transport service, going from small packages (courier service) to large deliveries (Banking) within an international company, in compliance with import/export and various regulations. He/She should also provide the necessary support to other Onespan locations, which don’t have the knowledge of transport issues on board in their office(s). It is important to maintain and improve mechanisms for the operation of the transport, including surveying and measuring satisfaction with the transport service and disseminating feedback to the appropriate internal entities/teams.\nKey Tasks\nManage the Transport and Warehousing team (Belgium)\n\nManage and organize worldwide shipments\n\nDelegate authority and responsibility to the team with supervision, accountability and review.\n\nMaintain and improve mechanisms in use related to the ERP system\n\nSupervise warehouse activities\n\nKeep overview of shipping dates versus required delivery dates\n\nCommunicate with customers, forwarders and Onespan offices\n\nInvestigate import/export regulations and taxes\n\nMonitor changes in transport and customs regulations\n\nNegotiate pricing and lead times with forwarders, transport companies and integrators\n\nSearch for better and cheaper alternatives\n\nSupport other Onespan locations through his knowledge of transport processes & import-export regulations\n\nCoordination of ‘proof of delivery’ regarding transport issues for revenue recognition\n\nApprove transport invoices, follow up on transport cost per quarter\n\nCoordinate Audit board reviews and questions\n\nHandle special projects (related to transport, customs, logistics)\n\nTypical Experience\n5 - 10 years in transport and logistics management, with leadership in multimodal and international operations.\n\nStrong communicator with ability to influence senior leadership, external partners, and cross-functional teams.\n\nDeep expertise in customs regulations, Incoterms, transport law, and logistics systems.
