Today, infrastructure, DevOps, and deployment work is distributed across the R&D organization without a single accountable owner driving strategy, standards, and automation maturity end to end. \nWe're looking for a Director, Infrastructure Engineering to build and lead the team responsible for the infrastructure our products run on - from cloud architecture and CI/CD pipelines to deployment automation and platform reliability. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set the technical direction, build a high-performing team of DevOps and infrastructure automation engineers, and give every engineer at OneTrust faster, safer, more reliable ways to ship. \nYour Mission \nIn this role, you will: \nOwn the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and deployment automation across R&D, aligning investment with product and platform growth. \nLead, hire, and develop a team of DevOps engineers, infrastructure automation engineers, and deployment engineers, building a strong bench of technical talent across US and India. \nDrive infrastructure-as-code (IaC) adoption and standards (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to make environment provisioning repeatable, auditable, and self-service for product engineering teams. \nOwn CI/CD pipeline architecture and tooling, reducing deployment friction and time-to-production while improving release reliability and rollback safety. \nSet the strategy for multi-cloud/hybrid infrastructure management, container orchestration, and platform scalability to support current and future product growth. \nPartner with Security and Compliance to embed security guardrails, access controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO) directly into infrastructure and deployment pipelines. \nOwn infrastructure reliability and observability - monitoring, alerting, incident response, and on-call practices - in partnership with Engineering and SRE stakeholders. \nLead cost optimization efforts across cloud spend, right-sizing infrastructure investment against usage and business need. \nAct as the primary point of escalation and decision-maker for infrastructure, DevOps, and deployment-related incidents and cross-team dependencies. \nPartner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Security leadership to represent infrastructure needs in roadmap planning and major technical decisions. \nEvaluate and select tooling and vendor partnerships that support the team's automation-first, self-service infrastructure vision. \nYou Are \nA builder who thinks in systems - you see infrastructure as a product that serves internal customers, not just a cost center to keep the lights on. \nAn automation-first leader who instinctively looks to eliminate manual, repeatable work and replace it with reliable, self-service tooling. \nA calm, decisive operator under pressure - comfortable owning incident response and making fast, well-reasoned calls when systems are down. \nA people leader who invests in growing engineers' technical depth and career paths, not just managing their day-to-day output. \nA pragmatic communicator who can translate deep technical tradeoffs into business terms for non-technical stakeholders and executives. \nSecurity- and compliance-minded by default, treating guardrails as part of good infrastructure design rather than a separate workstream. \nComfortable operating in ambiguity, willing to make and revisit decisions as the organization and its infrastructure needs evolve. \nYour Experience Includes \n12+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or cloud operations, including 4+ years in a people leadership role. \nProven experience building and leading DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management. \nDeep hands-on background with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent). \nStrong track record architecting and scaling CI/CD pipelines and release automation for enterprise-grade, high-availability software products. \nExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, zero-downtime migrations). \nWorking knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks relevant to SaaS infrastructure (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR). \nExperience managing distributed or globally-located engineering teams (US/India or similar) preferred. \nDemonstrated success partnering with Engineering, Security, and Product leadership to align infrastructure strategy with business priorities. \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. \nWhere we Work\nWe are embracing an office-first culture, encouraging three days a week in office for most roles, with meaningful opportunities to collaborate and celebrate in person.\nEach role may have specific requirements or flexibility depending on the scope of the position, so we encourage you to verify this with your recruiter during your first interview.\nBenefits\nAs an employee at OneTrust, you will be part of the OneTeam.
