The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and drafting customer and vendor agreements, advising internal stakeholders on legal risks, fulfilling compliance requests, liaising with external counsel as needed, and supporting strategic corporate initiatives as the company continues to expand its product offerings and global footprint.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDraft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements with customers, vendors, and business partners. \nPrepare and negotiate side letters, contract amendments, statements of work, and other transaction-related documentation.\nDevelop, maintain, and improve contract templates to support existing and new products, services, and business initiatives.\nAdvise internal stakeholders on contract interpretation, commercial risk, and legal issues arising during negotiations and throughout the customer lifecycle.\nPartner closely with Sales, Product, Development, Finance, Risk and Compliance, and Security teams as well as executive leadership, including members of the C-suite, to provide timely, practical legal advice.\nRespond to legal, compliance, due diligence, security, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requests and questionnaires.\nHelp establish, maintain, and continuously improve contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes, documentation standards, and legal operations workflows.\nIdentify opportunities to automate and streamline legal processes, including evaluating, implementing, and using technology and AI tools where appropriate.\nCoordinate with outside counsel on specialized legal matters when necessary.\nMonitor legal developments affecting the company’s business and advise stakeholders on potential impacts.\nSupport additional corporate, governance, compliance, and strategic initiatives as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired\nJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.\nActive membership in at least one U.S. state bar and eligible to register as in-house counsel in Massachusetts.\nApproximately 5-7 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.\nDemonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.\nStrong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to communicate complex legal concepts in a practical, business-focused manner.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and proven ability to build robust working relationships across all levels of an organization.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.\nAbility to make recommendations aligned with core business strategies, exercising sound judgement and based on the principles of law and corporate policy.\nBackground in establishing/maintaining document management processes.\nStrong leadership skills.\nPreferred\nExperience supporting financial technology (FinTech), financial services, SaaS, enterprise software, or technology companies.\nFamiliarity with financial services regulatory and compliance matters\nExperience advising on privacy and data protection laws.\nExperience responding to customer compliance, security, vendor due diligence, and KYC requests.\nExperience implementing or utilizing AI-powered legal tools and other legal operations technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.\nExperience with CLM platforms and legal workflow automation.\nWhy Join oneZero?\nAt oneZero, you’ll work alongside talented professionals who are passionate about technology, innovation, and delivering exceptional solutions to our clients.
