We work with Americans living abroad and with international entrepreneurs doing business in the US, covering the compliance, planning, and advisory work that comes with an international life. Our team is fully remote and spread across several countries.\nWe are also an AI-driven firm. We use AI across our work, from how we research and prepare, to how we run internal processes, to how we produce content. Human expertise stays at the center of the advice we give clients, and technology is what lets a small team move at the pace we do. That applies to this role as much as to the tax side of the business.\nWhy this role exists\nWe publish long-form videos on YouTube, short-form vertical video on Instagram and LinkedIn, plus carousels, blog graphics, and newsletter visuals. You would own long and short-form video from raw footage to published cut, and you would build out the visual side of everything around it. We currently have no designer in the team, so much of what you make will be the first version of it. If you like having room to define how something looks, that is the opportunity here.\nWhat you'll do\nEdit our long-form YouTube videos end to end: story structure, pacing, cutting down raw talking-head footage, b-roll, on-screen graphics, sound mixing, and export.\n\nCut short-form vertical video from long-form footage: hook selection, pacing, captions, motion, sound design.\n\nKeep short-form consistent with the editing style already set for the channel, and suggest improvements where you see them.\n\nDesign social assets: Instagram carousels, static graphics, LinkedIn visuals, YouTube thumbnails.\n\nDesign visuals for our newsletter and blog: timelines, comparison graphics, and simple explainers that make a tax concept clear at a glance.\n\nBuild and maintain the pieces that make output repeatable: templates, presets, caption styles, project files, and an organized asset library.\n\nWork from our monthly content plan with the content lead, so you know what is coming and can plan production instead of reacting to it.\n\nUse AI tools in your own workflow and keep testing new ones: transcription and rough cuts, caption generation, image and asset generation, upscaling, voice cleanup, and whatever comes next. We expect you to bring findings back to the team and to have a view on where these tools help and where they do not.\n\nPay attention to what performs, on retention, watch time, and saves, and let that inform the next cut.\n\nWhat we're looking for\nTwo or more years editing video for brands or creators, with a portfolio we can watch.\n\nStrong command of an editing suite such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut. CapCut is fine where speed matters.\n\nFigma, Illustrator, Photoshop.\n\nMotion design in After Effects for numbers on screen, timelines, and explainer sequences.\n\nEnglish strong enough to follow raw footage about US tax and pull the right moments out of it.\n\nReal comfort with AI tools in a creative workflow, plus the judgment to know when the output is not good enough to publish. We care more about how you decide what to keep than about how many tools you have tried.\n\nNice to have\nExperience with finance, legal, or another technical subject where accuracy matters.\n\nWorking knowledge of how YouTube and Instagram distribution actually behaves.\n\nA track record with thumbnails.\n\nHow to apply\nSend your portfolio to along with:\nThree short-form videos you edited yourself, with one line on each explaining a choice you made and why.\n\nOne design piece: a carousel, a thumbnail, or an explainer graphic.\n\nA sentence on what you would change about our current Instagram or YouTube presence.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3749,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-10T17:04:21Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":9,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":0.4,"p_active":0.527,"p_room":0.45,"age_days":56,"expected_fill_days":34,"reasons":["seen:56","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-11-06T05:58:05Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":24000,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/online-taxman-video-editor-visual-designer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/online-taxman-video-editor-visual-designer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-11-06T19:02:14Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":2034,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-07T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":668583},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=668583"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fonline-taxman-video-editor-visual-designer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fonline-taxman-video-editor-visual-designer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fonline-taxman-video-editor-visual-designer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/online-taxman-video-editor-visual-designer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fonline-taxman-video-editor-visual-designer"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":597831}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"onlinetaxman.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":597831},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
