Candidates who can comfortably commute or relocate are encouraged to apply.\nIn this role, you’ll be responsible for:\nWorking with the product definition and design teams to understand and meet firmware requirements and specifications. \nPerforming firmware and software development targeting ARM SoCs and various MCUs.\nPorting and developing Linux device drivers for our ARM products. \nSupporting x86 UEFI customizations.\nCollaborating with external parties in the development of firmware\nWorking with manufacturing to build prototypes for evaluation\nValidating the function of firmware and drivers on prototypes. \nActively participating in the continuous improvement of the company’s development processes.\nSupporting the product certification process by understanding technical documentation and resolving compliance-related issues\nSupporting product sustainability and customer requirements for SW/FW-related issues. \nTracking issues and assisting with severity assessments, facilitating resolutions, and revising appropriate documentation.\nRemaining aware of end-customer impacts and ramifications to the usability experience. \nThe team you will be joining:\nOur Engineering team creates cutting-edge industrial computers by finding innovative solutions on a daily basis. Roles on our Engineering team include Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Applications, Sustaining, and Regulatory.\nLearn more about Life at OnLogic\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. \n2+ years of firmware development experience, preferably with ARM SoCs in the industrial PC industry. \nExperience collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, firmware, and product testing.\nExperience in embedded firmware and debugging using JTAG-based debuggers and logic analyzers. \nStrong background in software design with C and Assembly.\nExperience with version control systems like Git and the standard software development process.\nUnderstanding of ARM or MCU architectures, firmware, and Linux.\nExperience with ARM64 SoCs, including their architecture and operation, is desirable.\nExperience with device trees in an ARM environment is preferred.\nEngineering aptitude for electronic/electrical systems\nAbility to understand schematics for software/hardware integration\nAbility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. \nWho we're looking for:\nA self-motivated professional who can work independently and take action proactively.
