We're looking for a Systems Administrator to maintain, evolve, and secure our infrastructure to support our staff and students. This role also involves partnering on projects that keep the College at the forefront of construction education. \nWorking within our growing IT Team and reporting to the Digital Support Manager, you'll combine handson support with proactive system administration across onpremises and cloud environments. You can expect from this role, varied work from daily monitoring and backups to deployments, documentation, and project delivery.-on support with proactive system administration across on-prem \nResponsibilities will include: \nPerforming routine network maintenance, implementing security measures, managing user accounts, and ensuringeffective backups and DR testing.\nProviding comprehensive support for Microsoft 365, including advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and user training. \nTesting, deploying, and documenting new software/hardware; setting up and maintaining onsite and cloud-hosted servers. \nDelivering frontline support to staff and students; take responsibility of incidents from first contact through to resolution and assist colleagues with escalations. \nProactively monitoring systems (network, backups, security alerts) and managing IT assets and updates across server and client endpoints. \nYou may occasionally work outside core hours for updates or problem resolution and across College sites when required. \nAbout you: \nThe successful candidate will possess: \nExperience supporting Windows 11 and Windows Server, networking technologies, Active Directory, and Microsoft cloud administration (365, Entra, Intune). \nA logical, problem-solving approach and PowerShell scripting capability. \nA Degree in an IT-related discipline or equivalent industry certifications. \nLevel 2 Maths and English Qualifications \nDesirable:Experience in an educational setting and skills including;
