This position will regularly interact with residents, property staff, and management to troubleshoot and repair appliance issues. The person in this position will provide a solid foundation in electrical, mechanical, and gas systems to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.\nPerks & Benefits:\nCompetitive pay and a Comprehensive Benefit Package \nHealth Saving Account, Flexible Saving Account, Employee Assistance Program \nAnnual Education Allowance \nGenerous Referral Program \nFun and collaborative company culture with lots of team-building events \nFriends and Family rates for Level Hotels & Furnished Suites, The Opus Hotel and The Emily Hotel\nWhat Will You Do?\nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:\nDiagnose appliance malfunctions using wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools, performing component-level troubleshooting to identify root causes.\nRepair and replace faulty parts on a variety of appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, ranges, ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and microwaves.\nService European and high-end appliances, including compact and built-in units (such as Bosch and Blomberg), following manufacturer specifications and procedures.\nInspect, service, and repair gas appliances and associated venting, following applicable codes and safety standards.\nHandle, recover, and recharge refrigerants in compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations and company policy.\nPerform preventive maintenance and safety inspections to extend equipment life and reduce repeat service calls.\nDetermine whether an appliance should be repaired or replaced and communicate recommendations with supporting rationale to supervisors or property management.\nCommunicate clearly and professionally with residents, property staff, and management regarding the nature of the problem, repair timelines, and any follow-up needs.\nPrioritize and manage a daily schedule of service requests, including urgent or emergency calls, to meet response time and quality expectations.\nComplete accurate and timely documentation for each service call, including work performed, parts used, time spent, and follow-up required.\nFollow all safety procedures, including electrical, gas, and refrigerant handling protocols, and use appropriate personal protective equipment.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nWhat You Bring\n2+ years of hands-on appliance repair experience (or a trade-school or apprenticeship background with strong aptitude)\nWorking knowledge of electrical systems, reading wiring diagrams, and component-level diagnostics\nEPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling (or ability to obtain within 90 days)\nStrong communication and customer service skills\nBrand-specific training or certifications preferred (Bosch, Blomberg, Whirlpool, GE, Samsung, LG, etc.)\nExperience servicing European and high-end appliances preferred (Bosch and Blomberg compact and built-in units)\nExperience with gas appliances and venting preferred\nExperience in multifamily property management settings preferred\nSalary Range:\n$24 - $28 per hour\nAbout The Company:\nOnni\nFor over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play.
