If you’re someone who can read the drawings, solve problems on the fly, and keep both people and projects moving forward, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.\nPerks:\nCompetitive pay & a Comprehensive Benefits Package.\nBenefits include company-paid extended health care, dental care, vision care, life insurance, critical illness, and critical life insurance.\nAnnual Education Allowance\nGenerous Referral Program\nFun & collaborative company culture with lots of team building events\nLocal discounts to restaurants, clothing stores, personal training, and more\nFree access to a fully equipped gym\nFriends and Family rates for hospitality brands.\nWhat you'll do:\nManage a crew of 10 - 15 Journeymen and Apprentices;\nRead and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations;\nInstall, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components;\nTest electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance;\nMaintain, repair, install and test switch-gear, transformers, switchboard meters;\nTroubleshoot, maintain and repair, electrical and low voltage control systems and other related devices;\nArrange and coordinate safety meetings;\nDelegate tasks and responsibilities to crew members;\nBe the point of contact with the general contractor’s site superintendent;\nSupervise and train apprentices on the job, as required;\nMaintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor;\nControlling inventory on truck, job-site, and in/out of stock (for active jobs);\nOrganize and maintain material lists for your crew;\nGathering required material;\nResponsible for maintaining company tools;\nInspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean;\nWork with building principals and supervisors to complete projects;\nDetect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment following established inspection procedures;\nRespond to emergency calls as needed;\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat you'll bring:\nA Journeyman Electrician, FSR A, OFA, and AWP certification/liscene is REQURIED.\n4 - 5 years of experience in a commercial setting as a Lead Hand Journeyman Electrician carrying out electrical tasks associated with installations and maintenance in commercial or service settings;\nProficient in academic and practical knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code;\nProficient at bending conduit;\nExperience in troubleshooting electrical equipment and systems;\nExperience planning and carrying out electrical construction tasks in a team environment;\nExperience working with and maintaining various fire alarm systems;\nExperience performing work on power distribution systems;\nExperience interpreting blueprints and specifications;\nExperience completing underground electrical work;\nProven track record of leading by example and providing exceptional guidance to crew;\nAbility to form material lists;\nCandidates must be comfortable working at heights;\nGood troubleshooting skills, repair abilities and installation skills;\nAble to work in high pressure, time sensitive conditions;\nAttention to detail;\nStrong communications skills and customer service orientation;\nStrong work ethic and positive attitude;\nAbility to supervise others’ work and coach for performance.\nSalary Range:\n$55.90 - $61.00/HR\nAbout The Company:\nOnni\nFor over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play.
