You will be handed a business problem and expected to come back with something working.\nThe distance between you and the decision is short. The person whose workflow you are fixing is in the building or a phone call away. You can ship on Tuesday and watch someone use it on Wednesday.\nOnni's portfolio is a genuinely rare testing ground. Development, construction, property management, hospitality, finance, and investment businesses all sit inside one group, all with real operational problems and real budgets. Products get measured against actual revenue and actual cost, usually within weeks.\nSome of what you build will scale into a business. Some will be shut down quickly when the evidence does not support it. Both outcomes are the process working, and neither reflects badly on you.\nThe path from here is real. Analysts on this team are expected to grow into product and engineering ownership, move into a portfolio company as an operator, or keep building inside Onni Capital.\nHow We Work\nOnni Capital is being designed as a high ownership, low bureaucracy team. We work in small project groups, test ideas quickly, put early products in front of users, and make decisions based on evidence rather than hierarchy. Team members are expected to:\nChallenge assumptions and communicate directly\nTake responsibility for outcomes, not simply produce recommendations\nUse modern AI tools to work faster and produce better results\nShare unfinished work early and improve it through feedback\nMove comfortably between strategic analysis and hands on execution\nKnow when to continue investing in an idea and when to stop\nOperate effectively without a detailed playbook\nThis is not a role for someone who wants months of consensus building, a rigid job description, or a narrowly defined set of responsibilities. It is for someone who learns quickly, takes initiative, enjoys solving ambiguous problems, and wants to help build something from the ground up.\nWhat You Will Do\nFind and define the problem\nWork directly with operators, tenants, customers, and internal teams to understand workflows and find where time, money, or accuracy is being lost\nTranslate what you learn into a clear problem statement and a product specification someone can act on\nSize the opportunity in terms that matter: revenue, operating cost, hours saved, cycle time, risk reduced\nBuild\nBuild working software using AI assisted development tools, specifically Claude Code, as a core part of your daily workflow\nShip a first version fast, put it in front of real users, and iterate on what you learn rather than on what you assumed\nIntegrate with existing systems, external APIs, and third party services where the product needs it\nHand validated products to the engineering team for hardening into production systems, and stay involved through that transition\nOwn the outcome\nDesign and run structured pilots with named users, defined success metrics, a deadline, and clear criteria for continuing or stopping\nOnboard the first users personally, train them, and stay close enough to hear what is not working\nTrack adoption, feedback, revenue, cost, and measured impact after launch\nSupport go to market for products that graduate, including pricing, positioning, and early customer acquisition\nPresent what you built, what happened, and what you recommend directly to senior leadership\nAcross the platform\nDeploy onto Valorem, Panni Consulting engagements, or portfolio company work as priorities shift\nResearch markets, competitors, technologies, and vendors to determine what should be built, bought, partnered, or ignored\nDocument what you build, why you built it that way, and what you learned, so the team gets faster over time\nContribute to internal product reviews, demonstrations, and Onni Capital events\nWhat You Bring\nInterest in business, engineering, computer science, product, economics, or a related field. Strong new graduates will be considered\nEvidence you have built and shipped something real. A product, a company, a prototype, an automation, an analytical tool, a community, or a side project with actual users. What you built matters more than where you studied\nDaily, fluent use of modern AI tools, including AI assisted development environments such as Claude Code, with the judgment to know when to trust output and when to verify it\nWorking technical literacy. Comfort with APIs, data structures, SQL, basic scripting, and automation tools, or a demonstrated ability to learn technical systems quickly\nGenuine entrepreneurial instinct. You look at a broken process and want to fix it rather than complain about it\nCommercial judgment. You can connect a user problem to a business case and explain why something is worth building\nThe ability to talk to people. Much of this job is sitting with an operator who is busy and getting them to tell you what actually slows them down\nClear writing, and the ability to explain a technical idea to an executive without jargon\nA bias toward action and comfort making progress with incomplete information\nComfort working in a small, fast moving team where responsibilities change as projects develop\nHigh personal standards for accuracy, quality, ownership, and follow through\nNice to Have\nFounder, side project, or startup experience\nExperience with tools such as Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Linear, Slack, Supabase, or similar platforms\nFamiliarity with the modern TypeScript and React ecosystem, or with Python\nExposure to real estate, construction, hospitality, financial services, or another asset heavy industry\nExperience with product practices such as customer discovery, user stories, and pilot design\nExperience integrating LLMs into applications, including prompt engineering and evaluating output quality\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSuccess in this role is not measured by how many ideas you generate, meetings you attend, or prototypes you build. It is measured by whether you can repeatedly turn real business problems into working products and evidence.\nWithin your first year, you should be able to point to:\nProducts shipped: You have taken multiple problems from discovery through to a working product used by real people, not just demonstrated internally\nFast validation: You can move from a credible problem to a testable first version in days or weeks rather than months\nReal adoption: Operators or customers choose to keep using what you built because it makes their work materially better\nMeasured business impact: Your projects can demonstrate revenue generated, costs reduced, hours saved, cycle times improved, risk reduced, or another clearly defined business outcome\nGood investment decisions: You have helped identify which products deserve additional engineering and capital, and you have been willing to shut down projects quickly when the evidence is weak\nStrong product handoffs: Products that graduate from experimentation reach engineering with clear requirements, validated workflows, documented learnings, and committed users\nOperator trust: Business teams see you as someone who understands their problems, moves quickly, and follows through rather than someone who arrives with technology looking for a use case\nIncreasing ownership: Over time, you require less direction, identify worthwhile opportunities yourself, and can own increasingly important products from problem through deployment and commercial outcome\nThe strongest analysts will eventually be trusted to own a product, launch a new business, or step into an operating role inside an Onni Capital portfolio company.\nWhat Makes This Role Different\nYou will see a product from problem to outcome rather than one narrow slice. On a single product, you may be involved in:\nSitting with an operator and watching them do the job badly because their tools are bad\nWriting the specification for what should replace it\nBuilding the first working version yourself\nDeploying it into an operating business and watching real users hit it\nDiscovering your assumption was wrong and changing direction\nPresenting the result directly to senior executives\nHanding it to engineering to harden into production\nDeciding, with the team, whether it is worth continuing to invest in\nThe expectation is high ownership. The learning curve and the potential impact are equally high.\nThe Onni Capital Experience\nOnni Capital is creating a new headquarters in downtown Vancouver designed for builders, founders, investors, product teams, and portfolio companies, not traditional corporate administration. The space is intended to become a home for company creation, collaboration, product demonstrations, investment discussions, founder events, and the broader Onni Capital community.\nTeam members will receive:\nDirect exposure to senior Onni executives, investors, operators, developers, and founders\nThe opportunity to help launch products and businesses from the ground up\nAccess to Onni's operating businesses, technology resources, real estate portfolio, and investment platform\nCompetitive compensation and a discretionary performance bonus\nA comprehensive company paid benefits package\nAn annual education and professional development allowance\nRegular product demonstrations, founder sessions, investment discussions, and team events\nFree access to a fully equipped gym\nFriends and family rates across participating hospitality brands\nEmployee discounts at participating restaurants, retailers, fitness providers, and other businesses\nA generous employee referral program\nAbout The Company:\nOnni\nFor over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play. Our success reflects our commitment to our employees and partners, and our dedication to quality construction, innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. Our expertise expands across North America, with offices in Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, and Chicago.\nAI Use:\nThis role may involve the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support research, analysis, content development, design, reporting, or operational efficiency. Employees are expected to use AI responsibly and in compliance with company policies, data privacy requirements, confidentiality obligations, and applicable laws.\nAll AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs must be reviewed for accuracy, quality, and appropriateness before use. Employees are also expected to disclose when AI tools have been used in the creation of work and must not present AI-generated content as solely their own original work.\nHow To Apply:\nPlease apply through the link on the job posting and attach your resume and any other required documents.\nWe thank all applicants for your interest in the Onni Group. Note that only those applicants under consideration will be contacted.","description_format":"text","description_chars":10864,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Professional development"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Property Development","Property Management","Construction"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-08-11T00:00:00Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":8,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.231,"p_room":0.36,"age_days":67,"expected_fill_days":34,"reasons":["conf:4","stale_co","win:tail","crowd:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-17T05:46:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/onni-innovation-analyst","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/onni-innovation-analyst.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-17T16:28:33Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":22641,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-18T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":8019},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=8019"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fonni-innovation-analyst"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fonni-innovation-analyst"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fonni-innovation-analyst"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/onni-innovation-analyst\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fonni-innovation-analyst"}]}
