This position is for a compressed work week.\nDay Shift : 5x8 Schedule Mon - Fri 07:00 - 15:30\n Support day-to-day wastewater operations across the site, including industrial wastewater, waste management, and environmental monitoring programs. \nPerform routine inspections of chemical distribution systems, environmental equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, compliant operation. \nMaintain accurate logs, records, and reporting documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements. \nContribute to continuous improvement efforts within environmental and facilities systems. \nSupport operational activities across shifts as needed within a 24/7 manufacturing environment. \nEnsure compliance with EHS standards, and company policies. \nSystem troubleshooting skills for monitoring devices and field wiring of replacement equipment \nCollect wastewater and process-control samples from designated treatment-system locations in accordance with established sampling schedules and laboratory procedures. \nPerform routine laboratory analyses, including pH, alkalinity, ammonia, fluoride, peroxide, nitrate, nitrite, BOD, TSS, VSS, and settleability testing to support wastewater treatment operations and regulatory monitoring.\nCalibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and monitoring equipment, including pH meters, ion-selective electrode probes, nitrate meters, incubators, and sample refrigeration equipment.\nComplete daily process-control testing, weekly SPDES profiles, and biweekly nitrification profiles; accurately document and enter results into laboratory logbooks and wastewater process-control spreadsheets. \nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment by performing routine housekeeping and safety-equipment inspections, including laboratory eyewash checks.\n Required:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nAbility to work safely with chemicals and mechanical systems.\n\nElectro-mechanical skills\n\nPreferred:\nAssociate’s degree in electrical and mechanical technology\n\nExperience with instrumentation and controls.\n\nElectrical and Instrumentation troubleshooting skills\n\nKnowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, SPCC, air permits, wastewater systems).\n\nExperience in environmental, building operations, or chemical systems in an industrial or manufacturing setting\n\nEmployees in this role may be required to participate in the site Emergency Response Brigade and support emergency preparedness activities. Participation includes maintaining required training, certifications, and response readiness in accordance with site policies and business needs.\nHourly: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
