Under minimal supervision, this person will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of manufacturing & fabrication equipment. The Equipment Maintenance Technician ensures equipment and systems are running efficiently and at optimal capacity to meet manufacturing & fabrication needs. This position will report to the Maintenance Manager. MUST HAVE STRONG ELECTRICAL TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS\n Key Duties and Responsibilities:\nPerform hands-on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of industrial automated fabrication equipment daily. \nDocuments routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, records data if applicable, and maintains completed checklist/history in iTV \nCommunicates issues with third-party equipment vendors as needed to expedite troubleshooting and repairs \nSustain and improve the Preventative Maintenance Program for all fabrication/processing equipment. \nAuthors accurate documentation for the operation and maintenance of various automated industrial equipment. \nTests, tunes, and adjusts equipment to obtain optimum operating performance. \nReports spare part requirements. \nDetermines the types of repairs to perform, approves and suggests equipment modifications, and analyzes results to evaluate performance. \nDevelops or improves techniques to meet quality, function, and cost standards. \nWorks with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications \nUtilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observes trends and makes recommendations. \nTroubleshoot and follow through on repairs of manufacturing equipment and electronic controls. \nResponsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance tasks using the CMMS system. \nRespond to unplanned urgent needs to have equipment repaired, minimizing downtime. \nUtilized a variety of hand and power tools to construct, renovate, and repair equipment. \nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested. \nOther duties as needed or assigned. \n High school diploma or GED. \nAt least 5 years of general equipment maintenance experience, with a strong manufacturing background. \nExcellent mechanical and electrical aptitude required. \nUnderstands electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and controls systems. \nExperience working with detailed work instructions, and reading & interpreting blueprints & drawings. \nCan analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs. \nStrong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel). \nISO 9001 and IATF 16949 experience. \nRead and understand technical/repair manuals and vendor resources. \nHands-on maintenance experience with operating, repairing, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipment \nExperience using electrical testing equipment and expert knowledge and use of power and hand tools. \nAbility to work in a complex environment with broadly defined parameters.
