# External Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly/Backend)

This position, based in the United States, is responsible for driving stable operational performance, yield improvement, and manufacturing continuity at external subcontractors for (Onsemi). Serving as the focal point between the External Manufacturing team and the Business Unit (BU), this role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and subcontractor teams to execute the following responsibilities: Core Responsibilities: Lead strategic projects focused on operational excellence, value engineering, and quality improvement. Act as the communication bridge among suppliers, customers, BU, and project teams for operations management, program management, and risk awareness Manage external manufacturing operations, driving quality, yield, delivery, cost, and supplier performance. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field 10+ years of experience in semiconductor industry, preferably in assembly/backend manufacturing operations Proven experience in high-volume, high-mix production environment Project management skills and proven experience are required Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and structured problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills
