This position will serve as a key technical resource supporting metrology systems and manufacturing operations during evening production hours.\nThe successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to rapidly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting production performance. This role will focus on driving equipment performance, process stability, defect reduction, productivity improvements, and continuous operational excellence.\nOwn day-to-day engineering support for assigned metrology tools and processes during evening manufacturing operations.\nProvide rapid technical responses to process excursions, tool alarms, quality events, and production-impacting issues.\nMentor/Train technicians and junior engineers in troubleshooting methodologies and best practices.\nLead structured root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.\nDrive tool performance, uptime, capability, and productivity improvements.\nPartner with manufacturing supervisors and technicians to maintain stable production operations.\nUtilize statistical methods and data analysis tools to improve process capability and manufacturing consistency.\nParticipate in cross-functional improvement projects focused on yield, cycle time, quality, and cost reduction.\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation, procedures, specifications, and training materials.\nEnsure compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.\n Education\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.\nExperience\n6+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred.\nExperience supporting metrology, process engineering, equipment engineering, yield engineering, or manufacturing engineering functions.\nExperience with statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and structured problem solving.\nExperience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nSemiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment knowledge.\nRoot cause analysis and troubleshooting methodologies.\nStatistical analysis and process control techniques.\nData visualization and analysis tools.\nContinuous improvement methodologies.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nSalary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $75,300 to $120,400, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
