This position will serve as a key technical resource supporting metrology systems and manufacturing operations during evening production hours.\nThe successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to rapidly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting production performance. This role will focus on driving equipment performance, process stability, defect reduction, productivity improvements, and continuous operational excellence.\nShift Structure\nThe Diffusion organization utilizes a dedicated evening engineering model to provide direct support to manufacturing operations during critical production hours.\nShift A: Sunday - Wednesday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM\nShift B: Wednesday- Saturday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM\nDedicated overlap every Wednesday for project reviews, prioritization, communication, and shift handoff activities.\nEngineering coverage every evening and on weekends.\nThree consecutive days off each week\n\nResponsibilities for Internal Candidates\n\nQualifications for Internal Candidates\n\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nOwn day-to-day engineering support for assigned thin film tools and processes during evening manufacturing operations.\nMentor and Train technicians and junior engineers in troubleshooting methodologies and best practices.\nProvide rapid technical response to process excursions, tool alarms, quality events, and production-impacting issues.\nPartner with manufacturing supervisors and technicians to maintain stable production operations.\nDevelop and maintain process control strategies, monitoring plans, and escalation procedures.\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation, procedures, specifications, and training materials.\n Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.\nExperience\n3+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred.\nExperience supporting metrology, process engineering, equipment engineering, yield engineering, or manufacturing engineering functions.\nExperience with statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and structured problem solving.\nExperience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nSemiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment knowledge.\nRoot cause analysis and troubleshooting methodologies.\nStatistical analysis and process control techniques.\nData visualization and analysis tools.\nContinuous improvement methodologies.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nonsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $114,000 - $193,700 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of the internal equity of our current team members.
