This position will serve as a key technical resource supporting lithography systems and manufacturing operations during evening production hours.\nThe successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to rapidly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting production performance. This role will focus on driving equipment performance, process stability, patterning quality, productivity improvements, and continuous operational excellence.\nShift Structure\nThe Lithography organization utilizes a dedicated evening engineering model to provide direct support to manufacturing operations during critical production hours.\nEngineer A: Sunday - Wednesday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM\n Engineer B: Wednesday - Saturday, 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM\nOwn day-to-day engineering support for assigned lithography tools and processes during evening manufacturing operations.\nProvide rapid technical response to process excursions, equipment alarms, overlay defects, critical dimension (CD) shifts, yield-impacting events, and production interruptions.\nMentor and train technicians and junior engineers in lithography fundamentals, troubleshooting methodologies, and best engineering practices.\nLead structured root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.\nDrive improvements in tool uptime, throughput, capability, overlay performance, and process stability.\nPartner with manufacturing supervisors and technicians to maintain stable and efficient production operations.\nMonitor and improve lithography process performance through statistical process control (SPC), defect analysis, and data-driven decision making.\nSupport recipe optimization, process qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, cycle time, quality, and cost reduction.\nCollaborate with Process Integration, Metrology, Defect Inspection, and Yield Engineering teams to identify and resolve lithography-related performance issues.\nCreate and maintain engineering documentation, operating procedures, specifications, and training materials.\nEnsure compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements.\nEducation\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExperience\n3+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience preferred.\nExperience supporting lithography, process engineering, equipment engineering, yield engineering, or manufacturing engineering functions.\nExperience with photolithography processes, exposure systems, track tools, and/or advanced patterning technologies preferred.\nExperience with statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and structured problem solving.\nExperience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.\nTechnical Skills\nKnowledge of semiconductor lithography processes, materials, and equipment.\nUnderstanding of exposure, alignment, overlay, focus, dose control, and critical dimension management.\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.\nStatistical analysis, process control, and data interpretation capabilities.\nExperience with yield improvement and defect reduction methodologies.\nFamiliarity with data visualization and engineering analysis tools.\nContinuous improvement mindset and strong execution skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nSalary: onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $101,700 to $172,700,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
