Structured programs such as rotational field sales and finance analyst tracks offer additional career pathways for interns transitioning into full-time roles.\n This opportunity will ask a student to have the following performance objectives:\nSupport validation planning, silicon bring-up, debug, and characterization of new and derivative image sensor products, including test chips targeted at circuit and process learning, reliability readiness, and manufacturability.\nValidate new circuit IP and sensor functions such as memories, OTPM, pumps, regulators, serial communication interfaces, safety mechanisms, and new DFT test modes.\nDevelop and improve validation test methodologies, automation, and data analysis flows to detect issues early, reduce debug cycle time, and support robust product release decisions.\nEnhance the performance and usability of existing validation tools by improving scripts, automation, documentation, and reporting workflows.\nSupport failure analysis, root-cause investigation, and cross-functional debug activities as key components of the validation engineering role.\n Qualifications - External\nRequirements:\nIn order to be considered for an internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in school pursuing an accredited degree program. This position is specifically looking for someone who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or doctoral program in Electrical Engineering or related field with emphasis on chip level circuit design.\nPursue Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with coursework on analog and digital circuit design.\nSolid understanding of semiconductor device physics.\nProficient in scripting languages (e.g. Python, VB, Perl, C, bash).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong team player and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.\nExperience with Electrical lab equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, power supplies, power meters, signal generators).\nFamiliarity with CMOS Circuit design and test methodology preferred.\nUnderstanding of imager sensor architecture and product reliability requirements preferred.\nHere at onsemi we take great pride in our internship program and the efforts we take to provide students with hands-on industry experience.
