Structured programs such as rotational field sales and finance analyst tracks offer additional career pathways for interns transitioning into full-time roles.\n The Central Utility Plant (CUP) Engineering Intern will support the Facilities Engineering team in maintaining and improving critical utility systems that support semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role provides hands-on experience with industrial utility systems including chilled water, cooling towers, boilers, compressed air, vacuum systems, process water, wastewater treatment, and electrical distribution systems.\nThe intern will assist engineers with reliability initiatives, energy conservation projects, preventive maintenance optimization, system performance analysis, and capital project execution while gaining exposure to engineering practices within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.\nEssential Responsibilities :\nSupport daily monitoring and analysis of Central Utility Plant equipment performance and reliability. \nAssist with troubleshooting utility system issues and developing corrective action recommendations.\nAnalyze operational data and develop reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities. \nParticipate in energy conservation and sustainability initiatives. \nSupport preventive maintenance (PM) optimization efforts through CMMS data analysis and field verification. \nAssist in the development and revision of engineering drawings, procedures, and controlled documentation. \nParticipate in equipment inspections, audits, and reliability assessments. \nSupport capital improvement and infrastructure upgrade projects from planning through execution. \nDevelop and maintain engineering spreadsheets, dashboards, and performance metrics. \nAssist with utility consumption tracking and cost reduction initiatives. \nParticipate in safety programs, risk assessments, and pre-task planning activities. \nWork closely with operations, maintenance technicians, contractors, and engineering staff to support manufacturing objectives. \nLearning Opportunities:\nThe intern will gain practical experience in:\nIndustrial utility system operation and design Reliability engineering principles \nEnergy management and conservation\nProject management fundamentals CMMS systems and maintenance planning \nEngineering documentation control Root cause analysis Safety and regulatory compliance \nData analytics and performance monitoring Semiconductor manufacturing support systems \n Qualifications - External\nRequirements:\nTo be considered for an internship, you must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in: Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering Energy Engineering\nonsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $26.00 -$44.00 per hour exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
