This role is for the engineer who gets excited showing someone a faster, smarter way to design, and who has always wanted to turn that excitement into demos, videos and stories that reach thousands of people.\nAs Senior Technical Content Engineer, you'll be a technical voice of Onshape, the cloud-native CAD and PDM platform that's changing how product teams design and collaborate. You'll get hands-on with the newest features, find creative ways to show what they can do, and share that with engineers, engineering leaders, IT teams and executives. You'll be on stage, on camera and in front of customers, connecting what Onshape can do to the results it delivers for their business.\nIf you've ever thought \"I could make a better demo than that,\" or you're the person your team asks to explain how something works, we'd love to talk.\nWhat You'll Do\nTake the stage. Deliver presentations and live demos at trade shows, conferences, webinars, customer sites, technical events and user meetups. Support Sales with prospect demos and help customers see what's possible.\nCreate and build. Design the models, scenarios and stories that make Onshape come alive. Produce demo materials, scripts, tutorials, feature videos and \"What's New\" release videos. Write blog posts, feature pages, competitive comparisons and more. Your work will appear on the Onshape website, social channels and beyond.\nMake the value click. Translate features into clear business benefits, including the combined value of Onshape with connected PTC products like Arena PLM and Windchill.\n Shape what's next. Partner with Marketing, Sales, Technical Services (pre- and post-sales) and Product Development on launches, campaigns and events. Bring customer feedback back to the teams building the product.\nWhat You Bring\n5+ years of hands-on experience with professional CAD software (Onshape and/or SolidWorks preferred; Creo, CATIA, NX, Inventor and others also considered)\nExperience with PDM and/or PLM tools (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Teamcenter, Windchill)\nProven presentation and live software demo skills for technical and executive audiences, both in person and virtually (including webinars)\nThe ability to turn technical capabilities into business value people care about\nStrong written communication skills\nComfort creating and appearing in video content, and curiosity to learn the editing side\nA real passion for CAD and design, and enthusiasm for sharing it\nNice to Have\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; equivalent CAD, drafting or industry experience will be considered\nExperience with video editing tools like Premiere Pro or Camtasia\nBackground in applications engineering, technical sales or training, especially with a CAD reseller or channel partner\nExperience using or implementing Arena PLM or Windchill\nExperience building custom integrations with APIs (e.g., REST APIs, SolidWorks API) and scripting languages\nPTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $115,000 - $135,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
