Through\nadvocacy and a range of support services, we work alongside people who may be vulnerable, disadvantaged or facing difficult circumstances, helping them understand their rights, have their voices heard and access the support they need.\nWhatever your role at ONSIDE, you’ll be part of an organisation that is passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives.\nAbout the role:\nAs our Marketing & Events Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping how people experience and connect with ONSIDE.\nWorking collaboratively across the organisation, you'll develop and deliver innovative marketing campaigns, fundraising promotions, social media content, digital communications and community events that strengthen our brand and showcase the life-changing work we do.\nNo two days are the same. One day you might be launching a new campaign, creating engaging digital content or analysing marketing performance. The next, you'll be coordinating an exciting fundraising event, building community partnerships or supporting colleagues to share inspiring stories from across our services.\nKey responsibilities:\nSupport the development and delivery of the charity's annual marketing and communications strategy.\nPlan, coordinate and deliver marketing and communication activities across the organisation.\nMaintain a consistent, professional and recognisable brand identity.\nConduct market research to identify trends, opportunities and audience needs.\nProduce high-quality marketing and promotional materials.\nDevelop and deliver marketing campaigns to support fundraising appeals, regular giving programmes and income-generation activities.\nCreate engaging promotional content and social media campaigns for fundraising events and initiatives.\nSupport community fundraising activities and donor communications.\nCoordinate and promote fundraising events and awareness campaigns.\nIncrease event engagement through digital and traditional marketing channels.\nBuild and maintain positive relationships with supporters, partners and stakeholders.\nManage and develop the organisation's website, ensuring content remains current, accessible and engaging.\nDevelop and implement an effective social media strategy to increase awareness and engagement.\nCreate and deliver digital campaigns across website, email and social media channels, including newsletters, videos and case studies.\nMonitor and evaluate digital performance using analytics, KPIs and insights to drive continuous improvement.\nStay informed of emerging digital marketing trends, tools and best practice.\nIn addition, all ONSIDE employees are expected to:\nWork within the organisation’s stated principles and values, adhering at all times to the organisational policies, procedures and guidelines\nTake responsibility for safeguarding appropriate to your role and raise any potential concerns with the ONSIDE’s Safeguarding and Professional Guidance Lead\nContribute to the growth and ongoing sustainability of the organisation\nDemonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities, social inclusion and individual empowerment\nShow a commitment to personal, professional and organisational development\nTake responsibility for your wellbeing, accessing the support and resources in place to support you and your wellbeing\nContribute to organisational promotional and networking activities\nRequirements\nWe are seeking an experienced and inspirational marketing and communications professional with a track record of growing market presence and developing successful fundraising strategies. You should be passionate about creating opportunities that enable ONSIDE to support more people and have a greater impact within our communities.\nEssential\nQualifications and knowledge\nEducated to degree level or equivalent experience.\nMarketing and communications strategies\nKnowledge of effective project planning and time management techniques.\nUnderstanding of design programmes and tools, communications and social media strategies.\nKnowledge of current social media trends and approaches to increase engagement and profile.\nUnderstanding of the voluntary and community sector and the environment in which it operates.\nExperience\nExperience of developing and delivering marketing and communications activities.\nExperience of creating engaging content across digital, social media and traditional communication channels.\nExperience of website management and content development.\nExperience of planning, coordinating and delivering campaigns and projects to agreed objectives and timescales.\nExperience of building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, partners and supporters.\nExperience of monitoring performance and using data and insights to inform decision-making.\nSkills and approach\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor information to a wide range of audiences.\nExcellent written communication skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to generate innovative ideas, develop creative solutions and identify new ways of working.\nExperience of planning and managing fundraising, organisational and promotional events.\nExperience of website design and ongoing management.\nAbility to motivate, engage and influence colleagues and stakeholders.\nExcellent planning, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to deliver objectives, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.\nStrong networking and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with a wide range of individuals and organisations.\nStrong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.\nHigh standards of accuracy and attention to detail.\nAbility to self-motivate, work independently and anticipate priorities.\nAbility to build and maintain effective working relationships across teams.\nDesirable\nRelevant supervisory or line management qualification.\nMarketing or related professional qualification.\nExperience and/or understanding of the charity or not-for-profit sector.\nExperience and/or understanding of healthcare and/or social care.\nYou must have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to independently obtain this by the start date.
