Learn from experienced engineers and build practical skills through structured training and supervised technical work.\n\nLocation: Work from home — Sri Lanka\n\nDuration: 12 months\n\nMultiple internship positions available\n\nKey responsibilities\n\nMonitor database availability, system health, performance and technical alerts.\n\nAssist with database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and maintenance.\n\nSupport backup and recovery checks, security reviews and performance troubleshooting.\n\nAssist with Windows and Linux server administration and cloud infrastructure.\n\nDevelop SQL queries and automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash or Python.\n\nRecord incidents, maintain technical documentation and provide timely task updates.\n\nRespond to assigned support requests and escalate issues to senior engineers.\n\nParticipate in rostered shifts, which may include evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, to support 24/7 client operations.\n\nParticipate in an on-call roster, including weekends, once appropriately trained and authorised.\n\nDuring assigned on-call periods, remain contactable, acknowledge alerts promptly and assist with incident response under senior engineer supervision.\n\nProvide clear shift handovers and follow established escalation procedures.\n\nAttend training, complete practical assignments and prepare for agreed technical certifications.\n\nWho should apply?\n\nStudents, recent graduates and aspiring IT professionals interested in database engineering, cloud infrastructure and automation.\n\nWe’re looking for:\n\nBasic knowledge of databases, SQL, computer systems and networking.\n\nFamiliarity with Windows or Linux.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn independently.\n\nGood written and verbal English communication skills.\n\nA reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace.\n\nThe ability to collaborate remotely and follow technical and security procedures.\n\nWillingness and availability to participate in agreed shift, weekend and on-call rosters.\n\nWhat you’ll gain\n\nStructured training and mentoring from experienced
