This includes participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.\nWho you'll work with\nYou will be joining a team of passionate and experienced application developers. You’ll collaborate with various teams across Technology, Investment Risk, and other business units to review business requirements and build and support applications for OTPP Investment planning, liability assessment, and performance measurement.\nWhat you'll do\nDeliver high-quality, well-designed, and well-architected systems under the guidance of senior staff through code and design reviews.\n\nComplete an acceptable volume of work while communicating the status of personal work plans and tasks required to design, develop, and test assigned portions of projects.\n\nMaintain currency in technological trends and directions by continually upgrading personal technical and IT-related skills through research, education, and self-motivated technology experimentation.\n\nParticipate in and/or lead new technology investigations and make recommendations for technology adoption where appropriate.\n\nCollaborate with business partners, understand business use cases, and propose technical solutions to support business needs.\n\nAs directed, lead technical projects and mentor junior development staff.\n\nWhat you'll need\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional software development experience.\n\nMinimum 5 years of professional software development experience with exposure to the full project lifecycle.\n\nAdvanced knowledge of current information systems theories, concepts, and techniques.\n\nStrong practical experience and knowledge of service-oriented design and development.\n\nExcellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\n\nExperience developing cloud-based applications using Azure Services (AKS, Azure AD, Azure Key Vault, Azure Batch Service, Azure Storage, etc.).\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience with current software development techniques:\nWeb Development (Angular 19+, NgRx, JavaScript, CSS, JSON, WebAPI/REST)\n\n.NET Core (C#), Python\n\nRelational database platforms (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and cloud data solutions (Snowflake)\n\nDevOps methodologies and CI/CD tooling (GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, Nexus)\n\nAutomation testing frameworks such as Playwright\n\nExcellent communication and customer service skills for interactions with business partners and people of varying levels of technical expertise.\n\n#LI-OTPP, #LI-AP1\nWhat we’re offering\n\nThis position is eligible for base salary and annual incentive based on individual and enterprise performance. \n\nBase Salary starting at $112,300 to $122,300 with future opportunity of up to $133,900.Numerous opportunities for professional growth and development\n\nComprehensive employer paid benefits coverage\n\nRetirement income through a defined benefit pension plan\n\nThe opportunity to invest back into the fund through our Deferred Incentive Program\n\nA flexible work environment combining in office collaboration and remote working\n\nCompetitive time off\n\nOur Flexible Travel Program gives you the option to work abroad in another region/country for up to a month each year\n\nEmployee discount programs including Edvantage and Perkopolis\n\nAt Ontario Teachers', diversity is one of our core strengths.
