You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.\nThe compensation range for this role is $15.00 to $16.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. \nSchedule: Monday - Friday\nOur Mt Pleasant, MI facility is currently seeking a Part-Time Laboratory Technician Assistant to join our team.As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:\nPrepare thermal desorption tubes for Quality Control of instruments\nThermal desorption tube preparation and conditioning\nGlassware Handling \nPreparation of standard solutions\nManaging temperature and weight logs\nChemical Standard Inventory\nData entry\nFacility housekeeping/maintenance\nPackage shipping and receiving\nComply with Onterris Quality Assurance Program and other policies\nComply with Onterris Health and Safety Plan\nOther duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director\nYour Expertise and Skills\nThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.\nBS/BA in Chemistry/Biochemistry or pursuing degree in equivalent field of study.\nBasic laboratory techniques (knowledge of PPE, use of balance, pipetting, glassware handling, etc)\nBasic Excel skills required\nMust have ability to follow directions and work in a team setting\nMust be comfortable working with strong acids and solvents\nExcellent communication skills required\nDetail oriented\nPREFERRED SKILLS\nPrior Laboratory experience (academic or professional)\nGeneral lab practices and lab safety\nAbility to work independently and in a team\nGood organizational skills\nTime management\nTrustworthy\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what’s typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
