The position is responsible for managing and overseeing Onterris hiring processes and managing, maintaining, and filing required HR reports and records. The successful HR Generalist will thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and confidentiality while demonstrating strong attention to detail, professionalism, and communication skills at all organizational levels. This position will be in one of our office locations at either North Little Rock, Kemah, Denver, or Valley Forge and reports to the Human Resources Generalist Supervisor.\nThe compensation range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000, in addition to an annual bonus (5%), commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.\nTo thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:\nNEW HIRE EMPLOYMENT & ONBOARDING PROCESS\nOversee and audit HR Administrative Assistant’s hiring process duties\nPartner with the Human Resources Business Partners and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure smooth employment process\nOwn and conduct the onboarding process for all regular and temporary employees: new hire orientation, I-9 processing, new hire paperwork and system setup, facilities tour, and staff introductions\nOversee and audit hiring process for variable staffing\nHUMAN RESOURCE OPERATIONS, COMPLIANCE & REPORTING\nManage offboarding and termination process, including system updates, offboarding and state separation documents\nEnsure adherence to HR policies, legal requirements, and company standards\nDevelop and enhance SOPs and policies for HR operational processes\nProcess employee status changes including promotions, transfers, FTE conversions, and compensation changes\nConduct I-9 verifications and audit completion\nConduct employment verifications and providing documentation\nPrepare and distribute routine operational HR reports and audits\nSupport HR data analysis and reporting efforts to identify trends and opportunities for improvement\nSupport state agency filings and reporting\nMaintain accurate employee records and personnel files in compliance with applicable federal and state-specific laws and internal policies\nMaintain legal compliance requirements and oversight of FMLA, USERRA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA programs\nPERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT & EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT\nProvide support with annual performance review cycle inclusive of employee goal submittal, performance review completion, and compensation plan details\nProvide support in the implementation of employee engagement programs and initiatives\nDevelop and deliver HR training programs related to company policies, compliance, and management tools\nSupport HR Business Partners with identifying training needs and developmental opportunities for employees and managers\nPROJECTS & INITIATIVES\nSupport the execution of HR programs and initiatives\nParticipate in HR process improvements and continuous enhancement of HR systems and services\nOther Duties as Assigned\n\nYour Expertise and Skills\nThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills, and abilities that help you do your best work here.\nBachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field\nMinimum of 3-7 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably experience working with multiple states and countries\nStrong understanding of HR practices, policies, and laws\nProfessional HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred\nPrevious Workday HRIS platform experience is preferred\nPrior experience in payroll and benefit administration is preferred\nProficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)\nProven ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within a matrix reporting structure\nAbility to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced HR environment while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality\nAdapt quickly to changing business needs, priorities, and urgent requests\nPossess excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with careful attention to detail being critical\nPossess a high degree of personal initiative and responsibility for work assigned\nDemonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language\nTravel: Onterris is a leading global environmental solutions company partnering with organizations to solve complex challenges where environmental pressures, regulatory expectations and operational risks intersect.
