You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.\nThe compensation range for this role is $34.00 to $58.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location\nTo thrive in this role,you’llbe comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:\nLead engineering analysis and design for river engineering and natural systems restoration projects, for both private and public clients.\n\nLead engineering analysis and design for urban drainage and surface water management projects, for both private and public clients.\n\nPrepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs of riverine, valley-land, wetland, and shoreline restoration works, including design of green infrastructure, bank/bed stabilization, channel realignment, shoreline stabilization, and erosion and sediment control measures.\n\nConduct specialized hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including:\n\nHydrologic and hydraulic modeling of urban and natural systems (e.g., PCSWMM, etc.).\n\nSupport river engineering and environmental assessment tasks.\n\nParticipate in erosion threshold assessments and sediment transport analysis\n\nParticipate in the preparation of channel restoration concepts\n\nContribute to the development of detailed designs, construction cost estimates and tender specifications.\n\nProvide resident engineering and contract administration support for construction projects.\n\nSuccessfully manage project budgets, invoicing, scheduling, change management, and client management.\n\nCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including hydrogeological, geotechnical, geomorphic, survey, landscape design, transportation, structural and natural sciences disciplines.\n\nDirect and support field data collection exercises as well as data synthesis/analysis; including site reconnaissance, and topographic surveying.\n\nProvide technical support and mentoring to junior team members.\n\nPrepare technical reports, technical memoranda, and work plans.\n\nSupport business development initiatives including preparing proposals and building strong client relationships.\n\nWork with regulatory agencies to obtain approvals.\n\nWilling to travel within Ontario, Canada and North America to support projects.\n\nYourExpertise andSkills\nThese requirements reflect the knowledge,skillsand abilities that help you do your best work here.\n5+ years of experience in water resources and river engineering, specifically related to the assessment of natural systems and the design, construction, and project management of river restoration projects\n\nProfessional Engineer designation with PEO is required\n\nBachelor’s degree in Civil/Water Resources/Environmental Engineering, or related field.\n\nExperience in writing technical reports and proposals, and giving presentations to multi-stakeholder groups\n\nAbility to effectively contribute to projects of various sizes and complexity simultaneously\n\nKnowledge of current regulations, legislation and permitting\n\nExperience with design and drafting software such as ArcGIS and AutoCAD would be an asset\n\nExperience with various water resources modeling software (i.e., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWAT, HSP-F, EFDC) would be considered an asset\n\nExperience with preparing detailed designs, construction cost estimates, technical specifications, and tender/procurement packages\n\nExperience with design and drafting software such as ArcGIS, Global Mapper, Q-GIS, AutoCAD, and Civil3D would be an asset\n\nA valid Class G driver’s license with no restrictions and a clean driving record.\n\nThis posting reflects a current vacancy that the company is actively seeking to fill.As a note, we are not accepting third party agency applicants at this time.\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
