A movement for better thinking, smarter solutions and lasting impact.\nTogether, we will advance our way of life and protect the integrity of our environment every step of the way.\nA Day in the Life\nAs an LDAR Field Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing inspections on various types of facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents at offshore facilities. This is a part-time position.\nThe compensation range for this role is $21 - $26/hr. commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.\nTo thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:\nAssisting in coordinating and navigating to various facilities with maps and GPS\n\nHelping to calibrate and maintain equipment\n\nUsing various detection and measurement technologies under the supervision of the Team Lead\n\nCollecting and recording emission data\n\nPreparing field reports as required\n\nYour Expertise and Skills\nThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.\nExperience in Oil and Gas industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience)\n\nEffective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office are essential) and proficiency with Android OS\n\nExperience leading a team preferred/required, depending on the position\n\nMust be able to communicate clearly and precisely\n\nOffshore and/or military experience is a plus.\n\nValid driver's license\n\nPreference will be given to candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree/diploma; related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, Offshore, instrumentation or stack emission testing or a mechanical background are also preferred, but not required\n\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nMust be willing and able to work on ocean/offshore sites for periods of up to 2-3 weeks at a time.\n\nMust be clean-shaven where required for safety/PPE purposes.\n\nMust be able to successfully complete swing-rope certification, including demonstrating the ability to safely support and control loads equivalent to approximately 2-3 times the individual’s body weight due to the forces generated during the swing\n\nResponsible for participating in all required safety training and assisting with safety procedures, including first aid, CPR, fire drills, and emergency evacuations\n\nMust be able to perform job duties onshore and/or offshore, including transportation by company vehicle, helicopter, and/or boat\n\nMust be able to communicate clearly and precisely\n\nMust be able to work safely in extreme environments, including cold, heat, wind, rain, and open-ocean conditions\n\nMust be able to safely ascend and descend structures up to approximately 200 feet in height and remain physically capable of performing required job duties after climbing\n\nPosition requires significant physical exertion, including climbing stairs and ladders, carrying heavy equipment, working at heights, and potentially working in confined spaces\n\nAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check\n\nOnterris is a leading global environmental solutions company partnering with organizations to solve complex challenges where environmental pressures, regulatory expectations and operational risks intersect.
