The duties below are anticipated but may change based on the candidate’s skillset and knowledge base. In general, we share duties and projects based on need, so flexibility is vital to the success of the role\nThe compensation range for this role is $70k to $90k.\nTo thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:\nBuild interpersonal relationships with the Safety Director and senior leadership\n\nDrive standardization of HSE practices through the teams to achieve continuous improvement in HSE performance\n\nProvide HSE support to customer locations that include major refineries, chemical plants, power plants, and other testing facilities\n\nWork with line management to proactively ensure compliance with government regulations, customer, and company requirements\n\nPerform written program audits, track action items to closure, and assist local offices in completing necessary tasks\n\nInspect workplace environments, activities, and conditions to verify compliance with local, state and OSHA requirements\n\nMeasure and report on KPIs and utilize HSE systems to foster improved HSE performance improvement\n\nAssist with and/or investigate and document incidents with local teams, and develop meaningful corrective actions\n\nDevelop periodic written communications, such as “Safety Flashes” and “Safety Toolbox Talks” to reinforce relevant topics\n\nIdentify problems related to safety/compliance, and present and implement solutions\n\nPrepare periodic safety posters, safety meeting materials, newsletters, etc., to share with local offices\n\nDevelop and deliver training modules for HSE tasks\n\nComplete assigned projects and tasks in a timely manner\n\nAssist with the Driver Safety Dashboards, driver list, asset lists\n\nYour Expertise and Skills\nThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.\nDegree in Safety or Environmental or related field (required)\n\n1-5 years of relevant safety work experience (required)\n\nGeneral knowledge of Federal and State OSHA requirements\n\nExperience in Stack Testing a plus\n\nPrior Health or Industrial Hygiene experience a plus\n\nSelf-motivated and able to prioritize tasks with competing priorities, is required\n\nKnowledge and experience with, but not limited to, hands-on training is a plus\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related business applications/software is required\n\nOSHA 30-hour training a plus\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\n\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment\n\nMust have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record\n\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what’s typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
