This position supports Chemistry and Data Quality Solutions leadership with business development and our clients with environmental investigations and other environmental consulting activities.\nThe compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000 commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. $10,000 Sign-On bonus\nTo thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:\nBusiness Development and Client Engagement\nProviding meaningful technical and marketing input to support the growth of the company’s Chemistry and Data Quality Solutions practice.\nActively participating in business development (BD) and growth initiatives.\nIdentifying qualified leads and developing successful proposals to establish a book of work.\nAttending client and business/industry meetings.\nAttending and presenting at conferences.\nMaintaining or exceeding billability goals with the balance of time dedicated to effective BD efforts.\nConsulting and Project Contributions\nPreparing technical memoranda, expert report sections, and presentation materials.\nParticipating in client discussions to explain analytical results, provide consulting, and interpretation of analytical data.\nSupporting quality reviews of laboratory data, method summaries, and QA documentation.\nContributing to the preparation of project scopes, proposals, and cost estimates.\nPreparing or critically reviewing environmental sampling plans, quality assurance project plans (QAPPs), and data management plans.\nProfessional Skills\nKeeping up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.\nStrong scientific writing and communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate in a remote, fast-paced consulting environment.\nHigh attention to detail and scientific defensibility.\nComfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nOther\nPractice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.\nParticipating in continuous improvement programs and providing support to team efforts.\nThe position may require travel and an occasional overnight stay.\nTravel to offices, project sites, and project meetings on an as-needed basis.\nPerforming other duties as assigned.\nYour Expertise and Skills\nThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.\nRequired Education\nBachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.\nAdvanced degree preferred.\nRequired Experience\nMinimum 10 years of environmental consulting experience, including Project Management and proven client development experience.\nRequired Skills\nExpertise in one or more of the following:\nEnvironmental investigation or remediation project management.\nAnalytical chemistry principles and application to environmental data review.\nInterpretation and data usability assessment and US EPA data validation guidelines.\nWastewater or solid waste regulatory requirements.\nRequirements for Sampling Analysis Plans, Quality Assurance Project Plans, or similar project control documents.\nDemonstrated success identifying, pursuing, and winning environmental consulting opportunities.\nProven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans that grow revenue within existing and new client accounts.\nStrong consulting sales acumen, with the ability to understand client business drivers and translate them into technical solutions.\nAbility to balance utilization with business development responsibilities.\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to develop and deliver strong presentations relevant to market interests at industry conferences.\nAdvanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
