You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.\nThe compensation range for this role is $31.00 to $55.00/hr, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location\nTo thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:\nDeveloping and applying hydraulic and hydrologic models for flood studies, river engineering, and water management projects.\n\nCompleting flood, erosion, scour, and other hydrotechnical assessments.\n\nDesigning and assessing river engineering works and watercourse crossings.\n\nSupporting regulatory approvals, permitting, and instream construction planning.\n\nConducting field investigations and site assessments.\n\nProviding construction support and monitoring.\n\nManaging project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.\n\nWorking with engineers, scientists, environmental specialists, clients, regulators, contractors, and other stakeholders.\n\nSupporting and mentoring junior team members.\n\nPreparing technical reports, specifications,andregulatory applications\n\nField work varies by project and may account forapproximately5to30%of your time.You will keep safety central to planning and design.\n\nYour Expertise and Skills\nThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.\nA bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources.\n\n3+ years of experience in hydrotechnical or water resources engineering.\n\nA strong foundation in hydraulics and hydrology\n\nAn understanding of erosion, scour, flood hazards, and river processes.\n\nExperience with HEC-RAS\n\nInitiative, sound judgement, and a desire to take increasing ownership of technical work, project delivery, and client relationships.\n\nPractical field and construction experience, or a willingness to develop these skills.\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.\n\nExperience working with regulators, clients, contractors, or multidisciplinary project teams.\n\nRegistration as a P.Eng., or eligibility for registration within approximately one year, in Alberta or another Canadian province.\n\nA valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions\n\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what’s typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
