That’s Ontinue.\nRole Overview\nWe’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer to help us scale quality across a fast-moving engineering team. This role is about building the automation, processes, and release confidence that keep pace with a team already working with AI-assisted development. You’ll support a medium-sized team on your own, so independence, organization, and the ability to create scalable ways of working are essential.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign and implement automated tests for frontend, backend, and API flows\nUse Playwright as a core testing platform, with tests written in TypeScript or C# depending on the best fit\nTest microservices-based systems with an understanding of dependencies, release sequencing, and service interactions\nCoordinate release readiness across the team, helping identify what needs to be tested first and what can go out together\nTest Azure-based and event-driven workflows, including message-based scenarios such as Service Bus topics and related integrations\nCombine automation with manual and exploratory testing where it adds the most value\nImprove the way manual testing is enabled so it remains efficient and sustainable as the team grows\nCollaborate closely with developers, the engineering manager, and other stakeholders to build a practical quality process\nUse AI-assisted tools to speed up test creation, maintenance, triage, and analysis\nHelp ensure quality scales with the speed of the team instead of becoming a bottleneck\nRequired Experience & Skills\nRequired\nAt least 4 years of professional experience in QA, test automation, software engineering, or a closely related field\nStrong experience with test automation, ideally across both frontend and API testing\nExperience with Playwright or a similar modern automation framework\nGood working knowledge of TypeScript, C#, or another language used for automation\nPractical understanding of release coordination in microservices-based systems\nExperience testing APIs and backend workflows\nFamiliarity with Azure or other cloud-based environments\nA practical, organized approach to working independently and structuring your own process\nCurious, adaptable, and open to using AI tools to work more efficiently\nStrong communication skills and the ability to work closely with developers and stakeholders\nA mindset that balances quality, speed, and pragmatism\nPreferred\nExperience building or improving QA processes for a growing team\nExperience with event-driven or message-based systems\nExperience with infrastructure or environment concepts that help with reliable testing\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests fit into them\nExperience using AI tools to support testing, analysis, or maintenance\nExperience working in a product-oriented, fast-moving engineering environment\nExperience with security-related or data-sensitive systems\nWhat We Offer\nWe have been recognized as a top place to work!
