This individual is a vital part of the life and safety of many people, organizations and communications. \nAttributes of Ontivity\nStable – Broad customer base with long-term relationships allowing you to keep working\nSafe – Your wellbeing is our top priority and primary value\nCompetitive – Competitive Pay, OT Opportunity, Travel Compensation, Comprehensive benefits\nResourceful – Quality Equipment, Current Technology, and Access to learn from seasoned professionals across a network of companies\nCareer Focused – We invest in you through technical and safety training\nRecourse – Multiple disciplines that allow you opportunity to expand your skills and multiple locations that provide opportunity to work where we are at and you want to be\nMeaningful – Your work impacts every American and every other critical infrastructure field\n\nKey Responsibilities \nRepair and Service all Makes and Models of Generator Sets\nInspect, Repair, service and Start-Up Load Bank Test Requirements on Equipment.\nTrouble shoot problems on all equipment using test equipment, tools, service manuals and service bulletins.\nTroubleshoot Equipment and Generator Components including Alternators, Wiring Harnesses, Safety Devices, and Battery Systems.\nApply proper Engine Technical Skills in Inspection, Failure Analysis, Assembly, Diagnosis, and Operating Performance Tests.\nIdentify the Problem and Cause of Failure through Logical Troubleshooting Steps, determine Corrective Action through Inspection.\nRepair and Troubleshoot Engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo\nAnticipate and understand customer’s current and future expectations, provide innovative solutions. \nActively and effectively communicate with all Power Systems team members. \nWork Environment \nThe incumbent will be working in various outdoor locations and will be willing to travel and stay overnight at work locations. \nRequired Education and Experience \nBe a personable, highly motivated, and ethical problem solver who can adapt to all forces around – customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and co-workers\nExceptional customer service \nStrong verbal and written communication skills \nInventory management \nProficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel)\nProficient with Google Calendar. \nEssential Functions / Responsibilities:\nValue safety over and above all other considerations\nPerform all work safely and efficiently/always utilize correct PPE\nBasic knot tying and safe rigging principles required to load material on trailers\nRequired Knowledge / Competencies: \nMust have valid Drivers License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification. CDL Class A certification a plus\nMust be able to pass a background check/MVR/drug screen for government security clearances\nMust be competent in safely driving tuck with trailers\nMust have complete knowledge on use and care of basic hand and power tools\nJob Related Certifications: \nCertified in fork-lift and skid steer operations\n\nWork Environment & Physical Demands:\nThe physical demands and work environment described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job. \nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively\nWork in adverse weather conditions\nMust be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license\nAble to pass pre-employment screening that includes background, drug testing and MVR\nOur Benefits\nOntivity offers a comprehensive benefits package that is designed to enhance all aspects of our employees’ well-being.
